The parts department here is mediocre at best. On the plus side, they got my part in very quickly; however being a dealer in high end automobiles and automobile parts I would have expected the parts depa plus side, they got my part in very quickly; however being a dealer in high end automobiles and automobile parts I would have expected the parts department personnel to be much more knowledgeable. I asked what the cost would be for them to replace the automatic transmission fluid in my car and the guy fumbled around looking at parts and what not before coming back with a guess of $500-1000. Seems a little steep to me! More
I went in to purchase a 2007 Cadillac Escalade for $28,000.00 on Friday August 24, 2013. At the time of signing, I took $4,012 out of my purse to pay down and wrote a check for $$27,000.00. Randall $28,000.00 on Friday August 24, 2013. At the time of signing, I took $4,012 out of my purse to pay down and wrote a check for $$27,000.00. Randall Johnson was the sales person. Then he took me to a front cubicle for another guy to do the paperwork. I have Multiple Sclerosis and began to feel bad and had a hard time writing. I counted the $4,012 out in stacks of $1,000 with 4 stacks 3 different times. I kept telling the paper guy I wanted to pay this down. He stated we'll worry about that later. At the time of signing the check I had gotten to where I could not write at all. He said "just sign it and I'll fill it out". When he was through with the paperwork he picked the $4,012 cash up and counted some off the top saying, "you can't be too safe". However he did not count the entire stack. He gave me the paperwork in a envelope. I went with the guy that was to put some gas in it. He stated "they only let us put a small amount in now". I told him to take my debit card and fill it up. That came to $78.00. I did not get that receipt either. The next morning when feeling better I looked the paperwork over and realized there was no receipt for the $4,012. I called to speak to the manager. He tried to persuade me I only paid $1,612. I went out there. Randall Johnson handed me the keys to my 2010 Ford truck I had left there and would not even look me in the face. I was taken to a back office. That guy produced a piece of paper with the amount of $1612. I did not have that in my papers, nor the title or registration. I showed him my checkbook, which he kept after I was taken prom the premises by a police officer. This is far from over. It will be heard in a court of law, and my Attorney WILL find out who the people were that did not so much as even give me a card. More
I like to work on my own cars and don't like it when anyone else works on my cars, but there are some things I simply cannot do on my BMW at home and have to get a shop to do. So I guess that can make anyone else works on my cars, but there are some things I simply cannot do on my BMW at home and have to get a shop to do. So I guess that can make me a difficult customer. I have to say these guys do a great job on my Z4, so good in fact that I wanted to highly recommend them to everyone else. These guys also give me good prices on BMW parts. More
I went into this dealership looking to purchase an m5 and received NO INFORMATION. I asked about 535s and was basically dismissed. These people do not want to sell cars and know very, very little about them. received NO INFORMATION. I asked about 535s and was basically dismissed. CROOKS or INCOMPETENT This dealership has absolutely CROOKS or INCOMPETENT This dealership has absolutely terrible service. Instead of making their customers happy, they at every turn require their CROOKS or INCOMPETENT This dealership has absolutely terrible service. Instead of making their customers happy, they at every turn require their customers to jump through hoops. They clearly only care about their business, and not at all about their customers. I suppose because they have no competition in our area, they can get away with this. Here's my story: The battery goes dead on my late model BMW roadster. The computer needs to be reinitialized and the dash software needs to be updated, which is a common problem on Z roadsters when a battery goes dead, and the dash update is a required update per a BMW published Technical Service Bulletin. This dealer refuses to even have my car (that I bought from them!) in their shop unless I pay a $100 diagnostic fee. So I agree to the fee and jump through this hoop to get them to fix my car. Then instead of initializing the computer or updating the dash software, they tell me that the motor on my soft top is bad and give me a $2500 quote to put a new motor on the automatic soft top! But the top works! I argue with the service manager and show him that the top works, but he says that if his technician says I need a new motor, then I need a new motor, and they're the BMW experts and I should take their word for it. I ask to speak with the manager, but am told he is unavailable. At this point, I realize that their service department is either incompetent or crooked. So I decline to have them put a new top motor in my car and pay their $100. I get in my car, put down the top, and drive away. I call the manager and leave a professional complaint on his voice mail. He never calls back. I now have my BMW serviced at a dealer in Northern Virginia when I'm up there on business. Run, run, run, flee from this dealer. Buy your next BMW from a dealer who gives you good service, not this one. There are plenty of good dealers in North Carolina or in Northern Virginia. (Maybe someone else should open a BMW dealer in Roanoke, Virginia) More
Overall experience was awful. No one at the dealership values service business, and they are very obvious about it. Was forced to wait 6 days for an appointment for a blown high pressure fuel pump, and wa values service business, and they are very obvious about it. Was forced to wait 6 days for an appointment for a blown high pressure fuel pump, and was then given a hard time at the time of drop off. Dealership also looks for excuses to deny warranty work when they have more expensive work to complete on other cars. I was denied diagnostic work on my adaptive headlights based on the fact that I had aftermarket bulbs installed. I explained to the tech that I understand the layout of the headlights (I have experience in working with the headlight design), and that a different bulb would NOT be enough to cause a fault or malfunction in the adaptive functions. They are in different sections of the headlight, and when I installed the factory bulb, the same error persisted. More
This dealership is the only one in the region; I am faced with a choice of driving an extra hour or more, or dealing with their incompetent service personnel. From now on, I am choosing to drive when I have with a choice of driving an extra hour or more, or dealing with their incompetent service personnel. From now on, I am choosing to drive when I have to work with the BMW dealer network. Examples of their poor service include wanting to charge me 12 hours of labor and keeping a car for days to simply diagnose a problem I can identify (door lock), and refusing to perform an inspection allowed by a class-action lawsuit settlement. I have had mixed experiences with their sales staff, but since there are so many GOOD BMW dealers out there I have no reason to ever do business with them again. More
This is an awful place to go for service. Although initially I was impressed by the friendly staff and they did provide me with a very nice loaner car; their work left much to be desired. I needed a initially I was impressed by the friendly staff and they did provide me with a very nice loaner car; their work left much to be desired. I needed a new clutch and they took over a month to get my car back to me. Once I got the car back I found that the car drove very poorly and shifting was not smooth at all (I have a 2001 325ci 28K miles). I brought the car to a dealer in atlanta whre I live and they informed me that the clutch was installed completely the wrong way!! They fixed this problem in three days! Wow, all I can say is avoid this place at all costs for service because they obviously have incompetant mecanics. Interestingly I never got a call from BMW asking me to rate their service so I thought I should get the word out and let people know that they should be careful. More
Glen has provided excellent service in every way, from the day I walked in to buy a car, to a year later when everybody in the dealership still remembers my name and asks how things are going.
