Purchased a BMW X1 yesterday. Smoothest and least troublesome experience we've encountered. We have owned 6 BMWs and have had very good experiences with each one. I leased a 2020 BMW 330i from BMW of Riverside, which was a previous loaner vehicle. I went through a car broker to lease this vehicle and the vehicle was delivered to my home in Sylmar, CA, by a dealer staf a previous loaner vehicle. I went through a car broker to lease this vehicle and the vehicle was delivered to my home in Sylmar, CA, by a dealer staff (~80 miles). I was very excited when I received the vehicle and so to my disadvantage, I did not do a thorough inspection before signing my paperwork, and being a workday, I only took it around the block (<0.5 mile) and immediately parked it in my garage. The following day I had a better look at the vehicle, inside and out, and noted a few faults. 1) The windshield had a crack; 2) there was hot glue-like stains in the center console area (3 specific areas – including the shift knob); 3) a speaker sounded busted; 4) both front wheels had curb damage but were repaired by the dealer (poorly). I reached out to the broker and asked about issues 1, 2, and 3. He said he will get in touch with the dealer. BMW of Riverside told my broker to take the vehicle in to inspect the issues. I scheduled an appointment and took the vehicle in. The dealer fixed the speaker issue (3) under warranty and said if I wanted the windshield (1) and console stains (2) fixed, it would be charged to me at a price of $2,500 and $1,600, respectively. They are trying to put these damages on me stating it passed inspection before being delivered to me. To note, I saw two dealer employees inspect my vehicle before accepting it in for service and neither noted the issues until I pointed them out. I am not saying that staff is incompetent, but I noted that they are not thorough. I am very disappointed how this dealer has and is treating a loyal customer by blaming their mistakes on me and will never shop at BMW of Riverside again and will encourage all of my friends and family the same. More
I have shopped for cars at BMW of Riverside for over 10 years now, have gone through a dozen of vehicles. I have serviced them all at the dealership. I can't thank enough their staff for being there for me years now, have gone through a dozen of vehicles. I have serviced them all at the dealership.
