I have never had a worse experience at any dealership. Unprofessional and unhelpful. From the moment I walked in, the staff were unwelcoming and did not attempt to work with me to simply see a car I was Unprofessional and unhelpful. I was even encouraged to visit other dealerships and maybe find other cars of interest! Wow! After emailing the gen mgr Vin of my experience, he in fact emailed to apologize but alluded to the fact that "if my experience was in fact true" he would like to action. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone - buy elsewhere! More

My sales associate Dan Chase was extremely knowledgable, e I recently purchased a 2009 BMW 535xi. My experience with BMW of Peabody was excellent. My sales associate Dan Chase was extremely knowledgable, easy going and a real BMW enthusiast himself. Having done my homework and had prices in hand from competive dealerships, BMW of Peabody was willing to match my best offer without any sort of hassle. From that point of ordering my car to delivery six weeks later, I continued to receive excellent service on my purchase. Dan made himself available for questions and concerns that arose as my car made its way through the BMW production machine. He also served as coordinator of the team working on the delivery of my car. Questions regarding Parts, Service and P&I were expertly directed to those team members working with Dan on my car. At delivery, Dan's knowledge of my car and instruction was exceptional. I was left with the feeling that I had just spent six weeks dealing with a highly accomplished professional organization. This professionalism has continued early ownership experience. I can not imagine any one of the other dealerships that I visited prior to selecting BMW of Peabody to be as detail oriented and jointly focused on true customer satifaction. BMW Peabody is by far the most professional, courteous, knowledgeable and competent dealership I have ever seen for any make of car. (I have purchased 2 vehicles here.) It is a fine line to walk to be engaging and responsive, but not intrusive or pushy, and this dealership does it well. Jamie McCoy exemplifies this spirit. I was looking for the best car for the money (i.e., recent model year, low miles, good interior). I did not care about options (except for heated seats) or even whether it was a 3- or 5-series. Started looking in Dec 2008 and Jamie was incredibly helpful and answered all questions I had within hours of my call/email and never tried to sell me something I did not want. But when I did have questions, he answered them comprehensively and honestly, even telling me that I really did not want a car that I thought I did for reasons I had not considered. (Turns out he was right.) He could have made a quick sell, but took a long view of our relationship. When I eventually found the car I wanted it was still being certified and was not on the lot. Jamie drove me to the off-site service center to look the car over. Unfortunately, it was purchased by someone else sight unseen prior to getting back to the lot. Jamie helped me avoid this issue again but did so without being pushy. In fact, it was not until Feb 2009 that I saw another car I liked even after scanning the inventory daily. We locked this car in with a deposit, but I never felt pressured to accept the car if it was not what I was looking for after seeing it. Basically, Jamie knows when to talk and when to listen. When he does talk, it is not in that stereotypical "sales speak" that anyone can recognize even a whiff of from miles away. He lets the car sell itself and is never patronizing. On a test drive, I am more interested in experiencing the car (sight, sound, smell) and feeling its responsiveness to me and the road. Jamie did not rush to fill this dead air with random conversation. When I asked a question, he replied directly and succinctly. He practically sprints around (literally) to work for you. As popular as Jamie is, he must have many clients but he never leaves you feeling neglected. He will come to your house (if you want) for you to sign paperwork and generally makes your life as easy as possible. I cannot tell you how much this was appreciated since I am very busy. I have heard that he will deliver the same level of service throughout your ownership period (for service, repairs, etc) and I am looking forward to that. BMW Peabody may not have the absolutely lowest price in the area on first look, but they are upfront and honest. I have purchased 2 BMWs from them and each time I considered Herb Chambers in Boston since they appeared to have lower prices. (Actually, prices are similar on closer look and customer service is terrible. That is a subject for another post. I have actually had a Herb Chambers salesperson light up a cigarette in a car while I was test driving it after having me wait 25 minutes for him to disappear for who knows what reason and then walk me through the mud to get to the garage.) But even if Herb Chambers was cheaper by a few hundred dollars, you get what you pay for. If Herb Chambers is the volatile girl you flirt with, BMW Peabody is the nice girl you marry. More
I have just leased a second BMW, and the decision this second time around was even easier for me than it was the first time. That positive experience is thanks to Jamie McCoy - he is the most professional and hard working (!) 'sales guy' I have ever met. He is anything but your typical sales guy. Jamie is working night and day to ensure that his customers are taken care of. The personal service we received from Jamie during our first lease term was amazing. Jamie came to our house to drop off and pick up our car when it needed to be serviced. He offered to come to the house with the paperwork on this most recent lease signing. When we came in to consider leasing another BMW, Jamie met with us on a Sunday. I particularly like the way in which Jamie keeps in contact with his clients - he is not pushy nor aggressive, quite the opposite. Helpful, friendly, informative, organized. He sent us notes from time to time during the course of our lease and checked in by phone a couple of times as well. As a result his name always stays at the top of our mind when we think of BMW. While these BMWs sell themselves at a certain level, the pricing is not necessarily what you'd call rock bottom. :--) HOWEVER, if you are a busy person (as we are) and you are looking for the real deal on what you're buying, you should buy/lease from Jamie in Peabody. If you're looking for a seamless/smooth, professional and friendly experience (for the duration of the time you own/lease the car!!), again I urge you to go and see Jamie McCoy at BMW Peabody. I live in southern MA and peabody is about an hour 15 minutes away, but I saw they had a used 330i with all the options/colors I was looking for, so decided to give a ride up and see for myself. I had been in contact with Kevin prior to going up and he was very knowledgeable and continuously emailed me back promptly about any questions/comments I had. Once I finally got up there to test drive we were a fair bit off on the price, but he was very very friendly and helpful, unlike most Client Advisors I've dealt with before. I'm only 23 years old and when sales people see me looking at "higher end" vehicles and such most give me attitude and brush me off. Kevin did none of the sort and treated me more like a friend than a customer. After arriving home and emailing him thanking him for the help we ended up agreeing on a lower price, which I accepted. I set several dates up to come back up to sign paperwork and take delivery but with several Snow storms here and there we ended up pushing the date back several times. He was very understanding, even caring, as he noted that driving the car in the snow was not really recommended and he did not want to see me go home in such conditions, especially in the long drive. All along we exchanged emails, as I had a LOT of questions about the warranty, which snow tires to get, maintenance, and BMW in general. He replied to every single email, and almost immediately at that. It made me wonder if he ever got a day off for himself. I finally got to go back up this past friday and he was there waiting and smiling. He had the car detailed, registered, and inspected all set to go. He gave me a very thorough go through of the car again, to show me every little intricacy and it was an excellent experience. I kind of wish I had more questions so I can continue to exchange emails lol. I feel like I did not only buy a new vehicle, but made a new friend in the process. Kevin is an amazing Client Advisor & I would not hesitate to drive up to work with him again, or to vehemently recommend him to others. More

I was referred to Jamie McCoy from a colleague who said he was the best - and that was absolutely the case. I hadn't bought a car in some time and wasn't sure what to expect.
