I was checking out cars on the lot at Newport, Milton came and engaged, nice style and he completely understood my needs. Quick test drive and some straight talking and we had a deal. Wish everyone selling cars was like him. Good communicator, didn’t push anything he knew I had already discounted and listened to his customer. Wish I could buy a car from him every week! Fun guy to work with. Asset to the team. More
A Mother-in-Law Experience I took my mother-in-law, who's in her 70s (2 years older than I am--don't ask), and we met Justin around 10:30 in the morning. We were walk-ins and didn't have an appointment, nor had we been to the dealship to do any looking. She immediately felt comfortable with him and by 3 pm we were on our way home in a brand new BMW, ready to drive the car and ourselves onto the 4 pm ferry to Block Island. We caused a lot of attention in the ferry parking lot. A new black x1 does that to people. We learned that from Justin. Or I should say my mother-in-law learned that. I was in another part of the dealership figuring out how to work the digital coffee machine and talking on my cell phone to my father-in-law about the recent developments at the dealership. We had come with instructions that we were to get a used x3 with a 3.0 engine, for something around $25k, in the neighborhood of a 2014 with fairly low mileage. I had done my research and told my mother-in-law those specs were an impossiblity. My father-in-law, who is in his eighties, has been a businessman all his life, and knows the value of a dollar. Unfortunately, the value of a dollar that he knows is based on a time when a gallon of gas cost less than a buck and a loaf of bread was 35 cents. The only x3 on the lot that fit most of the above description was in the $37k neighborhood, I was telling him on the phone, and listening to silence. I told him his wife was now looking at an x1 and to assuage his concern I told him the used ones on the lot were within his budget. Before long, my mother-in-law found me and said that's what she wants, a new one, the second incarnation of the x1 design with enough room in the back for her large German Shepherd. I pointed several facts out, but her mind was made up. She went out to the lot with Justin. Before long, she was out on a test drive in a black one with mocha leather and all the bells and whistles. And I was back on the phone with my father-in-law; the sticker is $35k, I told him, $2 grand less than the three-year old x3s on the lot. I was breaking it to him slowly. Before long, my mother-in-law was back and we were now sitting down with Justin. He said he'd take $2,500 off if my mother-in-law belonged to AARP. She dug out her card, and he led us to Dimitri, the finance guy. I am certain there is a euphemism for finance guy, just as at this BMW dealership salesmen are called "client advisors," but I've had previous experience sitting across from finance guys and I told him right off that if he tried to sell me anything like a spray that will keep the paint pristine forever that I would walk out and go to another dealership. He was not happy. After fiddling with his computer, his printer spit out the sales agreement. I stared at the bottom line which was $45,612.18, wrote out a check and thought about my next call to my father-in-law. Epilogue: Several days later, after the storm had passed--actually there didn't appear to be one, since his wife's absolute delight with the car seemingly pacified her husband--I went up to their house to get paid back and had my first good look at the paperwork wherein I noticed a charge of $499 to cover birds pooping on the paint for one year. Justin had a check back to my mother-in-law for that amount Fed Ex'd, and everything ended happily. More

In conversation, Simon asked me if he could get me into a new car as well. I told him that I had been considering, but I leaned more toward Honda, specifically, a CR-V. This past Saturday, Simon reached out to me to share that a CR-V meeting my criteria had just happened to come into the dealership and that he'd be around to show me if I had time to come in, but there was absolutely no pressure, he just thought of me when he saw it. I did end up going into Newport BMW Saturday afternoon, and just as Simon had described, the car was exactly what I had been looking for. Once I decided to move forward with the purchase, Simon and the Newport BMW team worked with me to get me a great price on my trade-in as well as a great deal on the new car. This was by far the best car-buying experience I have ever had. More

Everyone was so friendly, informative and really made me feel comfortable while I was in the decision making process. Bo was amazing to work with and made us feel right at home. We never felt like we were being "sold to". Robert was wonderful as well. He showed us all the different models that we were interested in and answered all of our questions.......and we had ALOT of questions! I had some more questions in the next week or two after I purchased my vehicle, so I called and spoke to Paul. He was so patient with me and made sure I completely understood everything. This was my first BMW purchase and the whole staff at BMW of Newport made it a great experience. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a new or used vehicle! More
Lied, took advance and sold the car to someone else . After agreeing to price and taking the deposit, the sales person calls back to say that we found a problem and this car cannot be sold as certified. .
