I called to give a deposit on a car that I found on cargurus, that salesperson never called me back. I called agin and spoke with Brendan and he quickly took my deposit and said the car had a recall, I cargurus, that salesperson never called me back. I called agin and spoke with Brendan and he quickly took my deposit and said the car had a recall, I wasn't in any rush so waiting was fine with me. 3 weeks went by then the car was fixed and released by BMW for sale. It took the dealer 2 weeks to get my car registered and when they finally did get it right I was away on vacation. Every time I asked my salesperson Brendan anything that would required the dealer going above and beyond the answer was always no such as home delivery that was advertised with the car on cargurus. So we drove down and picked up the car ouerselves and got a 2 min demo of how to use the car. Mind you, this is the first EV we've ever owned and if your familiar, EV's are much different than a traditional vehicle. I was aware that the "Genius" was not there the day I picked up my car but Brendan assured me that we could do a proper delivery via Facetime. We made 2 appointments for this and ended business calls early and never received a call. I called the GM and he set up an appointment and I still didn't get a call. They had our car for almost 2 months after making the deposit and they never applied the from licenses plate bracket. Although it was in the rear cargo the whole time they ordered another one because they weren't aware it was there the entire time. Nothing but headaches and disappointment. I was excited about this car but the dealer failed on many levels and really couldn't care less. Shop elsewhere. More
Greico BMW BMW of Newport sold us a “certified” BMW X-3 they did not own. We paid them in full and, after a full week of demanding our registration paperwork, they admitted they didn’t have title to the ca they did not own. We paid them in full and, after a full week of demanding our registration paperwork, they admitted they didn’t have title to the car. They couldn’t get the title from the previous owner. It is illegal for a dealer to sell a car they don’t own in the commonwealth of Massachusetts. The same day we brought the certified BMW home, we noticed a large dent and scratch on the roof that was never disclosed to us. We saw it by looking out a second story window. We then had to return the car to Greico BMW while they repaired the roof to our “certified” car. The sales practices of Greico BMW were simply unethical and filled with lie after lie in regards to “just waiting for the title”. It was also unethical to sell the car as “certified” when it had dents. We illegally drove an unregistered car for over a week while Greico was untruthful with the reason. An incredibly poor experience and it pains me every time I share this experience with our friends and neighbors in Rhode Island. This was a horrible car buying experience. Unethical on so many levels. We know we paid more for a “certified” car but we know now that was untruthful. I will add that there was one individual who handles the loaner cars for Greico BMW who tried to do what was right. He recognized the situation. Just one individual in the dealership and he will forever be appreciated by my wife and I. More
