Responds like a BMW again! I was treated with respect and courtesy and got a great deal on repairs. The loaner car was a wonderful bonus. Beach Trip Saved I was cruising down Interstate I-65 on the way to the beach with my wife when my BMW Console Display said..."Engine Over Heating....Please Pull Over a I was cruising down Interstate I-65 on the way to the beach with my wife when my BMW Console Display said..."Engine Over Heating....Please Pull Over and let the vehicle engine cool"....Not good. The engine begin to shut way down immediately ...so I had little option but to pull slowly over to the shoulder. Upon pulling out my manual and opening the hood, I could see not liquid coming from the motor anywhere and really my heat gauge wasn't really that high. Hmmm...? I called AAA and wrecker was on the way and upon asking I received the telephone number for BMW of Montgomery-only 49 miles away. I called...told them my situation...they told me what to do and what NOT TO Do....and they just said (if possible)get your vehicle there by driving or (if not drivable) get there by towing and they would take care of me. Well two hours later we arrived at BMW of Montgomery. I was greeted by Bryan Brasington -Dealer Associate . He already had my name, vehicle year and model and the details of our situation. He took my keys told me to go the cool lounge and they would do their best to have us back on the road to the beach by days end. It was 3:30 pm and they had no idea what exactly was wrong. But he calmly assured my wife and myself what the various options and no matter what to have us proceeding to the beach that day. He advised me of their relationship with several rental car agencies if need be. He showed the snack/refreshment area and offer to do anything to make us comfortable. He again assured us they would find out what the issue was and he was off to make sure we were taken care of. Within 20 minutes he told us what the issue was (water pump to be replaced) and would make sure they had parts in stock to fix it immediately or if need to be ordered -we would proceed with a Plan B alternative to get to the beach. With in another 20 minutes....he was back...again calmly and professionally …. we have the part ….we will work to insure it will be completed today. At 6:20 pm we drove out of BMW of Montgomery headed to the beach. Less than 3 hours after we drove in. They close at 6 pm but everyone involved in our car's worked stayed and insured we got finished. Bryan gave me his personal card and number and asked that I call/message him tonight to make sure he knew we got to our destination with no problems. Well...I didn't buy my BMW from the Montgomery dealership but I have to tell you....This wasn't my first BMW and it will not be my last. It was my first issue with this car after six years. But even bigger....HATS OFF! to this dealership...nothing short of FIRST CLASS treatment and execution to these travelers in distress!! Thank you all. Not that my dealership in my city isn't also good....I felt like I was their most important customer..even though I was just passing through. Great Job! Failed motor install At first when the engine on my 2012 528 needed replacing they got BMW to go in for 90% of it and I was happy. Then only 5 days after I picked it up, t At first when the engine on my 2012 528 needed replacing they got BMW to go in for 90% of it and I was happy. Then only 5 days after I picked it up, the same engine light came on, and after I took it to the BMW dealer in Columbus (because that is where I live), they determined it had not been installed correctly. I complained about this to BMW and they refused to reimburse me for that. Seems like BMW should pay for a mistake that a certified BMW mechanic made. These cars are absolute crap. Break down all the time. They don't stand behind them, their warranty is weak. My new car has a 100k warranty, and it is NOT a BMW. If they had not acted like such jerks, I might have kept on buying them. Everyone I spoke to said the same thing about them, they break down all the time. Stay away. Stay away. Now that the time has come to get another one, I have no regrets for having to go to BMW of Montgomery. Thanks to Tae Shuford and especially Danny for making sure I left the lot happy and with the BMW that I wanted. I would definitely recommend anyone desiring to own a BMW to go by and ask for either one and tell them that Loraine sent you. More
