The day before my wife and her girlfriends were to drive my 640i X from Minneapolis to International Falls, something went wrong with the restraint system. This left it barely drivable but it needed immediate attention at the dealership. I took it to the service department hoping they could squeeze it in. Because after all, this was a (domestic) emergency. It was late in the day so they were completely booked and out of loaners. I was going to have to tell my wife and her friends that they couldn’t use the BMW 640 for their long-planned trip. It occurred to me that I might appeal to the sales department. When I told Chris Peterson, the sales manager my dilemma he said “no problem “ and pointed to a 640i X on the lot and said I could take it for the trip. Chris Sommerfeld, my sales person, took it from there; had it washed and filled with gas then handed me the key. As I was leaving he said don’t bother to fill it when you bring it back. I was -and AM- so grateful that I tell this story every chance I get. Many thanks again to bot Chris Peterson and Chris Sommerfeld. You cemented my loyalty to BMW of Minnetonka. More

When I went to inquire about it there was NOBODY who could help me for 30 minutes. No manager and no service agents in any of the 8 booths. Multiple people had pulled up and were just wondering what to do with the car they were dropping off. I had a coupon which multiple people told me would be honored then the manager of all people said he wouldn't honor when I went to pay, even though all his people had already committed to honoring. Then when I went to leave it was going to be another 30 minutes to clean the car so I told them to skip it and they brought the car out with writing on the windows that denoted the time they committed to being done by; so I had to go home and wash my windows to get that off of it. Never take your car to get serviced or buy a car from these people. More

I asked to salesman if satellite radio could be added and they both said no. I live in Fargo, and was halfway home and I called the service department and they told me it could be added for $500. I talked to Brent, the sales manager, and he said he refuses to pay for the $500 and I should’ve asked for a manager. I believed the salesman who work there when I said it wasn’t an option, and as a consumer, I shouldn’t have to question it. Brent said he would not pay the $500 for satellite radio, so looks like I will be purchasing new cars from BMW Motorerks again. I buy 3-4 new cars a year, and will definitely not be back here because of Brent! Lost a repeat customer over $500. Brent completely placed the blame on me for not verifying with a manger because I trusted his sales staff. More

On at least 3 occasions the time it took to get something done has been well over double the time they said it would take. On all 3 occasions I was discouraged from getting a loaner as they were all supposed to be an hour or less appointments. At no time has anyone contacted me when it goes beyond that time. I’ve had to ask repeatedly as to what is going on. Today, after waiting 90 minutes and being told my tire change was still not finished, I asked to speak to a service manager. I stood around in the service department for literally 30+ minutes as my service rep wandered around looking for a manager and STILL wasn’t able to find one. They then offered to slap on my tires and let me drive off without balancing them. So after 2 hours of this, I talked to my sales rep that sold me the car 2 years prior. It took another 15 minutes of him wandering around looking for someone before I was finally able to speak with a manager. When I told him I shouldn’t have to pay for such poor service and mentioned that I would write reviews such as this, he accused me of threatening behavior. Long story short, they did the service charge away, but I will never go back to this place again not could I in any good conscious recommend it to anyone if they value their time and money. More
Scam, Cheat, will beat you out of Money! When I first bought my BMW X5 in January 2016, as soon as I drove off the lot I started having problems with it. My sales rep was nice and wanted to h When I first bought my BMW X5 in January 2016, as soon as I drove off the lot I started having problems with it. My sales rep was nice and wanted to help me get it fixed at no charge, but his manager at the time was rude and nasty to me over the phone and told me "This is your problem" after only having the car for 2 weeks! Month after month I continued to have problems with the vehicle and by the end of the year I was out of another $4K. I decided to trade it in last week after finding out I needed new breaks and new tires. Their service guy Tim was awesome and patient with me, and the sales rep Amy tried to help me find another vehicle. However their financing lady Lea told me that for a 2012 BMW i3, my $27k loan through BMW North America Finance would require me to put $3,500 down and I was only getting $3K for my trade in! Seemed suspicious that the same amount of money I needed to put down was the same amount of money needed to fix my old car. I left that day with my original car and drove straight to Motorwerks BMW in Bloomington and got a Used Pre-certified, 2015 BMW higher end model for no money down, financed through the same BMW North American bank for $28K, and they offered me $6K for my trade in. Either Lea doesn't know how to do her job or they were trying to scam and cheat me. I'll let you be the judge. Their new GM called me and was a really nice guy and apologized for my bad experience and tried to make things better but it was too late. The scams and bad behavior of the staff over the last 3 years had ruined my trust. If he was smart he would fired everybody and start with a whole new team of honest employees like the guys over at Motorwerks. More

From quickly accommodating us with getting the paper work done the day we were flying out of town to assisting with getting a winter tire setup put on quickly, this was another excellent experience with BMW of Minnetonka. Matt in sales and Jeffrey in service are one of the main reasons why we came back this second go around to BMW of Minnetonka...they truly are rock stars in their fields! Hope to deal with them for years and years to come! Oh, and the car is kinda nice too ;-) More

I called to inquire about a used vehicle and had the pleasure of connecting with Chris. The vehicle was just traded in the night before; Chris quickly took photos, sent over details and helped answer my questions ... all extremely timely! When I came into the dealership, he was proactive to let me know what work will be done by the dealership to get it up to his and the dealership's standard given the vehicle the just came in. He turned out to be extremely trustworthy, responsive, and proactive to help me. There was never any pressure, just help. An amazing experience, given that I had previously had several poor experiences with sales people at other dealers. I will definitely seek him out when we need our next vehicle. BMW of Minnetonka was a great choice for my purchase! I love my vehicle and they did exactly what was promised and more. More

The SUV included the convenience, driving assistance, driving assistance plus, premium and executive packages along with a trailer hitch, front ventilated seats, and Harmon Kardon surround sound. The on the road price I received, in writing, was $56,000. The credit application process was easy, but the dealership mismanaged the entire process, which took hours to sort out on the Saturday before Mother's Day. When we arrived at the dealership the following Monday at 10 am, the wrong vehicle had been prepped. We were offerred lunch. When we went to settle the paperwork, the finance director refused to honor the agreement of $56,000, claiming the correct price was $1,240.75 higher. In addition, the SUV had been driven approxiately 240 miles when we received it, although the federally mandated odometer disclosure statement said 5 miles. The dealership agreed to reduce the price of the SUV by $1,500, compensate us for the mileage and the lunch. Our entire customer service experience could not have been worse. More
