So, I've been looking for a car for the past 3 months and had no luck. By far this was the best experience that I have ever had. After reading the reviews on this dealership, I'd decided to push my luck here. Joe Schad was the guy that I worked with and he was amazing. He got me the deal that I couldn't get anywhere else. Again, I've been out there talking and dealing with other dealerships for the pass 3 months and it took no longer than 15 minutes after talking with Joe that I knew I was going to get the price that I wanted. Joe pulled through the next morning and everything was finalized the next day. A great experience for me personally. I might even go back and get a BMW now. Thanks "BMW of Minnetonka" and especially thanks! Joe for the awesome experience. More
My fiance and I purchased our 2010 528xi from Tom Rusch two Saturdays ago. We had come in several times to test drive and he was extremely helpful - showing us several different make and models. Never once was he pushy or "used car-sales-man like" as some of the other posts below would state. I am mainly taking the time to write this because of the poor treatment I have recieved at other (unmentionable) luxury dealerships in the area -- who size you up based on age,clothing, gender etc. And I am young so usually do not get this treatment at dealerships (sizing up by weekend wear and young appearance is seeming to be the status quou every where else). This was just the best experience I have ever had at a dealership. We literally were treated like kings - from having coffee served to us, to having Tom go through every little bell and whistle on the car as if it were a fine piece of art - it was hands down the best experience. Aside from the class A treatment, we also recieved a really great deal on the car. Also, their $1500 cash financing deal was something I would really recommend taking advantage of while its available. i just think everyone should experience car shopping like this instead of feeling like you are being led to the guillotine when signing loan papers. More
I had a great experience working with Ed Howard, who was knowledgable, courteous and straight forward to deal with. Ed gave me a fair deal on a 2012 528xi and he went the extra mile by giving me a ride to t knowledgable, courteous and straight forward to deal with. There was no sales pressure and the dealership is truly a place I look forward to coming back to. I'd highly recommend Ed and Minnetonka BMW to my friends and colleagues. More
My story actually starts about a year and half ago when I first walked into this dealership. At the time, I was coming to the end of my lease on a Lexus and was interested in trying out a BMW. I came into the dealership several times and not once could I get some help. I finally emailed enough people and was connected with someone that actually helped me spend my money. Fast forward to this past Saturday. After having my lease for over a year I walked in to check out the updates on the new models. I was feeling good that maybe they will actually pay attention to me (keep in mind I am young and I don't car shop in a suit on a Saturday afternoon). Walking in not one person says anything to me. I ride the escalator up and I literally have to push through three employees standing around talking at the top; not one person offers any help. I spend the next thirty minutes looking around, with not one person helping or even offering, but they did do a good job of looking at me and then walking off. I can't believe I ever bought anything from this dealership in the first place. It is clear that their staff is judgemental, probably knowing the cost of everything, but the value of nothing. As much as I like my current car, I'm not sure I can see myself doing business with BMW again, at least not this dealership. More

Poor customer service, they did not seem like they wanted to sale the car. I walked in (single female) and I was given a third degree right from the door, the reception was poor right from the receptionist to sale the car. I flew to Scottsdale, AZ to buy the same car, where I received a better customer service and was more than happy to fly across country to spend my money somewhere else! More
This is an update from my previous post. Tim Kraemer, GM of BMW of MInnetonka, stepped in and stepped up. My radio was quickly repaired and my faith in the dealership restored. My initial decision to buy here was based on friends and colleagues positive feedback and I will now be adding my voice to that chorus. I can solidly recommend the dealership. Genuine concern, prompt response, quality product. However, I will look for another sales person for my next purchase. More
I recently purchased a pre-owned X5 from Rob. He was fantastic to work with from start to finish. Rob was super helpful in educating me about BMW's and the X5 as well as helping me to understand the di fantastic to work with from start to finish. He was extremely attentive and quick to respond to my phone calls and/or emails (even on his days off). I'm certain Rob has customers that spend a lot more $$ on their cars than I did, but he never made me feel that way. He gave me the time and attention I needed, gained my trust and made me feel like a top priority. I will say that I did visit this dealership previously when I began my car search and met with a different sales associate who, after I indicated I was interested in purchasing a vehicle very soon, never called me back to follow-up on the car I had additional questions about. However, Rob more than made up for my initial experience and he's likely gained a customer for life. Thanks, Rob! More

We have been researching for a replacement for our certified 2007 530xi since last fall. We attended the auto show and local events at Motorwerks and Minnetonka researching and learning. I was hoping to find a certified 2012 or loaner 528xi to save some bucks. I am a member of the BMWCA and read extensively about all the current 5 series issues including the run flat controversy . I even went to bmw dealers while visiting relatives, one in madison and one in kansas city where my son lives. The end result is that Steve Rydberg sold me a new 528xi at a price that I felt was a good deal and included trading in our certified 530xi. Todd Olson, A sales manager worked with us and gave us a rapport that no other sales manager did at any dealership. They are a good team. At another dealer , my experience was tainted when a sales manager, via a sales rep, tried to sell me something i didn't want. He didn't try to meet me ! My wife is a vice president in the business credit and she enjoyed the professionalism that Steve and Todd gave us. My sales experience with a fortune 100 company as a district, regional and international sales manager gives me the background to qualify what I think is a good sales job or not. . We are very happy with our BMW of Minnetonka purchase. To cap it off , the financial rep Kyle suggested financing which saved us some money. It pays to have a good credit rating ! Kyle is a professional and the paper signing portion with all the extra's explained was very relaxing. Oh, for all of you that have a BMW and are not a member of the BMW Club of America. join. I just deposited a check for $1000 from them for the new car purchase.The BMW Club of America offers a member benefit you should investigate. More
