X1 on a whim We drove past BMW of Minnetonka on our way to look at a car that our daughter and son-in-law were considering buying at another car dealer near by. On the way home, we decided to stop in at BMW of Minnetonka just to see if they had an X1 in stock. We didn't want any help, we just wanted to see an X1. We are from out of town and we have never visited this dealer because it's harder for us to get to. While we were just walking around Rob Dahnke came along and offered us a sincere greeting and asked us if we needed any help. We told him we were just looking at this time. Rob was so personable we just started talking about BMWs. We felt so comfortable talking to him about cars. He was very knowledgeable about cars in general. We told him we were possibly interested in the X1 and he took the time to explain about all the features that we had questions on or features that he sensed we were looking for after he found out why we were looking for an X1. We had no intention of buying a BMW at this dealership, but because of Rob, we made an appointment to return and look into possibly buying an X1. Our past experience of buying a BMW Z4 at another dealer was not favorable. We stopped in that dealership to look at an X1. They had the car in stock but because of Rob, we decided to buy at the Minnetonka BMW dealership even though it was way our of our way. What a great buying experience we had when we traded in our car and special ordered a new X1. Every thing was easy, flawless and fun. Everyone made you feel like a very welcomed guest in the store and service area. This was one of the best buying experiences we have ever had purchasing a car. If you are looking for a new or used car, ask for Rob Dahnke. He is not a car salesman, he truly treats you as a friend and strives to help you make the best buying decision. More

Buying Experience I had been working with Tom Rusch for a few days to buy a CPO car. I told him what I was looking for and he led me to an X1 and X3 that were very att I had been working with Tom Rusch for a few days to buy a CPO car. I told him what I was looking for and he led me to an X1 and X3 that were very attractively priced with CPO Elite status. Just the same a few days later I came in adamant that it was an X5 that I wanted and so we put together a deal. It was Friday afternoon before Memorial Day. 15 minutes into the ride home I was sick to my stomach. This was not the car for me, it was simply too big. Monday morning I called Lea Schneider in finance, and Tom and told them it was a mistake and that I wanted the smaller car. Long story short, I brought the X5 back with 150 more miles than when I left and we unwound the deal. 2 hours later i was on my way in the X3 that Tom originally recommended. The X5 never happened. I couldn't be happier, it's a very very nice little car and suits my needs perfectly. Thanks BMW of Minnetonka. More

Great car from a trusted friend We were looking for a used Mercedes E series. Since Craig Haggerty is a long-time family friend, and we purchased our previous car, a BMW, from him, We were looking for a used Mercedes E series. Since Craig Haggerty is a long-time family friend, and we purchased our previous car, a BMW, from him, we decided to start with Craig even though he is at a BMW dealership. He had exactly the car we were looking for, a lease-return with low miles. Craig got us an excellent price. He is super enthusiastic and a lot of fun to talk to and work with.
