Service department had problems The sales team is very good. Unfortunately the service is not. Incident #1 I had my X5 in for service, a recall and a problem with the fuel gauge l The sales team is very good. Unfortunately the service is not. Incident #1 I had my X5 in for service, a recall and a problem with the fuel gauge last week (2/9/15). I was returned the car later in the day saying that the guage was fixed. However it was not and had to again leave the car with them after a week (2/16). It was kept overnight and then returned to me today (2/17). This time the guage worked but as soon as I was out of the service area the Xdrive system stopped working and had to leave it with them again. The car is still with them. Questions that come to mind are - 1. Do they even test the car after they fix anything? Obviously not problems occurring after they are "fixed" points to that. 2. Did they even change the oil when one goes for an oil change or just reset the computer? 3. Did they even do the recall service. I leave the car and never see what they are doing. After this experience am not sure what to expect when I go there for service. Unfortunately both my cars are BMWs and they get serviced here. Maybe time to look into a different service center or a different manufacturer. This problem was finally fixed after the car was there for 1 week and almost all components in the fuel tank system including the fuel tank were replaced. Incident #2 Repeat of earlier experience with the X5. Car went in for a front brake service and a AC check up on 8/13/15. I was told that something was not right with the car software and it would need some upgrade later on. I was informed in the afternoon that the car was ready, brakes done and AC checked out fine. I go to pick up the car and the moment I get out of the dealership there is the noise of a motor or fan switching on and off. Take it back to to the dealership and they say something else is broken and keep the car. Second time in a row, when they have taken my car to fix one thing and return it with something else broken. Have no idea, how many weeks it is going to take this time for it to be fixed. More

I originally inquired about a used car via onlin My search for a new car after my previous car was totaled was easy peasy thanks to BMW of Minnetonka. I originally inquired about a used car via online and was reached out to right away. Heather was extremely flexible with my schedule to come in, as I attend a university in southern Minnesota. Heather went out of her way to come in on her day off and let me look over the car and test drive it! I was thoroughly impressed with her, as I assumed I would have been pawned off on someone else in internet sales. Back and forth from my university, BMW kept in contact and worked with me until my payment for my car came through. I came in dealership towards the end of the day I had originally looked at the car and wanted to get my information in. Rob Dahnke expedited the process of gathering my information and putting me into contact with someone in the used sales department as Heather was gone for the day. Andre was very nice and comfortable to speak with as well! He got the rest of my information and put me through to financing. I appreciated him staying until close to work with me. The day I signed for my car, Heather stayed well after her shift should have ended until the financing advisor could see us (after we waited two hours after our original appointment time). Heather chatted with her boss about us having to wait and mentioned that it should not happen as the couple before us had left and returned again, pushing back our appointment. In our two hour wait time, Heather talked with my mother and I, and got us coffee and water as well! We really enjoyed getting to know her. The financing advisor Kyle was very nice, and didn't pressure me to add anything I didn't want to my car. When Heather walked us out to my car, we noticed a new dent that had been acquired while parked in the ramp. Even though she was off the clock, she promised she would call the department to take care of the dent before I leave back to my university tomorrow! I was very pleased otherwise with my purchase. I look forward to working with BMW Minnetonka again in the future! More

Out-of-state buyer that keeps coming back I just purchased my FOURTH BMW from Amy Mattick at BMW of Minnetonka. I live in Kansas so it is over 500 miles to this dealership, but I keep coming b I just purchased my FOURTH BMW from Amy Mattick at BMW of Minnetonka. I live in Kansas so it is over 500 miles to this dealership, but I keep coming back for the top-notch customer experience. Amy has been absolutely fantastic in helping me shop from two states away. She was always efficient and thorough with providing information. Amy made me feel 100% confident and comfortable purchasing a vehicle that I had never seen or driven. When I arrived at the dealer, she warmly greeted me and spent time getting to know my wife and daughter. I consider her a friend after the time she's spent advising me on my BMW purchases.
