My BMW 2016 328i caught on fire just 20 miles after leaving the dealership! Before buying the car, the dealership assured me it had been fully maintained and was ready for any long trip. Trusting their word, I purchased my first BMW with 70k miles on the odometer. But just 20 miles after the purchase, the piston broke, and the engine caught fire. Smoke filled the car instantly while I was driving, and when I managed to step out, flames were coming from the turbo and the engine. I was stranded in the middle of nowhere for hours with cops, EMS, and the fire department, and I had to pay over $1,000 in towing expenses. Any reasonable consumer would expect a refund or at least some form of store credit for being sold a faulty product. But no—they said they would only cover half the repair costs, or I was on my own since the car was sold "as-is." I had only had the car for 24 hours! The car needed a full engine and turbo replacement. They initially quoted me $10,000 (with me paying $5,000 as half) for the repairs, but I ended up paying between $9,500 and $10,000 due to additional charges they kept adding on during the engine replacement. They installed a brand-new engine, and I had to purchase warranties, adding to the debt I was already drowning in. Now, I’m over $28,000 in debt on a car that was originally listed for $12,000. While they did assist with some labor costs for minor issues later and provided transportation to the dealership, I can’t help but wonder: Are you really willing to risk your money by trusting a dealership that promises you a safe and well-maintained car but leaves you with nothing but problems? To be honest, the whole process felt shady. Everything was done over the phone, and it seemed like they went out of their way to avoid leaving any written evidence of their offers. As a consumer, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I loved BMW, and it was my dream to get an M car someday. I always thought a dealership that sells $100K+ M cars would go above and beyond in customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, this place was not it for me. More

I'm from the Orlando area and was in Gainesville saw my car online. I filled out the online information and was contact by Charles by phone, he sent a video as well which was great. We had conversation about the numbers by the end I had given a down payment, Charles at that point suggested that they could delivery the car to me. It was at this point that things turned as that process was not good, car was dropped in my drive way and I was handed a key, not what I expected from BMW. I'm a first time buyer and would have liked a run down on the car as far as features, Charles and I had arranged that upon delivery my plate would be transfered to the car which did not happen. When I phoned Charles he apologized, but nothing was done to fix the situation. I felt that this happened because I was not in Gainesville. More

I was told that the service would cost $179 and it was going to be a pre-purchase inspection. My son dropped the car off and when he picked it up, they told him the cost for service was $249 With going to be a pre-purchase inspection. I am capable of looking at the tires and brakes and realizing that they are acceptable. They also pointed out that the shocks and struts needed to be replaced and gave me a quote of $4000 a little less actually. I ordered the parts and they are $400 To say that I was not very warm and fuzzy inside after this interaction would be an understatement We will be doing all of our service moving forward ourselves And if there is a repair that is beyond my scope, I will look for a reliable BMW repair shop that quotes a job and then bill accordingly to the quote More
