Too many people sitting around doing nothing I had my 645ci car towed here recently. I was not familiar with this dealership as I am from out of town. I entered the dealership while the car was I had my 645ci car towed here recently. I was not familiar with this dealership as I am from out of town. I entered the dealership while the car was still on the tow truck. I explained to a female service person that my car was not accelerating at all. We asked where we should have the tow truck driver unload the car.She told us just drop it right where it is. We did so only to have someone in the sales garage belittle the driver for dropping it there. After that it took a long time for someone in service to help us. We were told that we could rent a car and only the first 24 hrs would be covered. He (Greg) then said that they would look at the car to see if they could ascertain the problem. This was after telling us that the SMG transmission was a terrible one. That took a long time. Finally Greg told us the SMG module was burnt out. He suggested we have it fixed and wait. Well, it took over an hour, but finally the car was fixed. He told us it was being washed. A half hour later he walked me to the cashier. I paid and asked where the car would be. She said in the covered service area. We walked there to find no car. It was in the lot blocked by two other cars. God only knows how long it had been sitting there. 4 hours total in the dealership! So many of the service personnel were doing nothing but hanging around in a big group. Very terrible experience overall. More

Don't bother buying extended warranties it will never cover It is clear that technology has made these vehicles pretty much not needing any service from the dealerships as in the past, it boils down to even the It is clear that technology has made these vehicles pretty much not needing any service from the dealerships as in the past, it boils down to even the services "suggested" by the manufacturer are not really necessary as per the dealer advisors. When I bought the extended warranty the lady at the cash desk said, just on a simple break damage you will clear the expense, it is well worth it. My story starts back in January 2016 when my BMW 535 started making grinding noise on the breaks which was not good at all and requested an appointment for service, as you all know there is never an appointment when you need it, but when there is an opening at the dealership. Brought the vehicle in and requested to also do what it showed it was on the manual's Standard Scope Service based on the mileage: Vehicle Check, Air Cleaner Service, Brake Fluid Service, Coolant Service, Engine Oil Service, Front Brake Service, Micro-filter/Cabin Filter Replacement, Rear Brake Service, Wiper Blade Replacement (Front) The answer was: I apologize for the delay. I checked if the vehicle is due for any regular maintenance and it is not due at this time. Everything on the vehicle is up to date. I will let you know when the other repairs are completed. Now the meaning of due gets blurred and delayed very conveniently by the dealership, the quick assessment was the breaks in the front were busted and all due to a caliper failure. which made the whole thing disqualify for any kind of "under warranty" service. So I got nailed for calipers, rotors, breaks and so on. There was never a warning signal from the computer sensors of the car showing any warning regarding the breaks, only my common sense made me bring it in. Needless to say very apologetically the dealership washed their hands and even as the vehicle, according to the manufacturers warranty required break service, THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. Excuse me but charge me for the caliper part of the invoice but the rest is supposed to be under warranty. I tried to communicate with them as follows:"I would also appreciate if you get me the disclaimer for the caliper issue in the extended program, as I could not find it. as you may imagine once the caliper breakdown, and the break pads start to rub off the rotor the sensor should have been triggered and the warning should have been present to warn the consumer of the issue at hand, wouldn't you agree? hence there would not be any damage done to the rotor" By the way BMW the manufacturer is even worst to respond as they don't really have anybody interested in hearing your issues as a consumer, where a brand of this caliber should have been all over this. I have moved on and will never buy a BMW again just for the lack of respect and interest the manufacturer showed. More
