Buying a new car is a pain, trading in the old one is a rip-off, and they basically forget about you after you drive away in your new car, right? Maybe. That’s been my prior experience at other BMW dealerships, and thanks to the inter-webs, I found BMW of Fairfax. Here’s my story: I had my eye on an X3 M40i for a few months before finally finding the one with the exact bells and whistles I wanted at two different dealerships. I also wanted to get an estimate for trading my X1 in. The first dealership I went to was closer to my house, so I went there to test it out. No one greeted me, no one received me for my appointment, so I almost left. When someone finally was available to meet me, they had me discuss numbers before even test-driving the car. When I said his numbers were way too high, he suggested I look for something less expensive. He offered a laughable amount for my trade-in, and wouldn’t budge on the amount at all. He made it really easy to walk away feeling bad about myself and the whole process. The next day I drove 45 minutes to the Fairfax dealership with low expectations and an appointment to meet with one of the sales managers. I was immediately greeted by Mo, a very polite, relaxed salesman who escorted me to the car I was interested in. The car even had a tag with my name on it (who, me?). We went for a test drive, and I finally felt like I was talking to someone who was genuinely interested in helping me get to know the car and make sure it’s the right one for me. When we got back, Mo made sure the X3 had every feature I wanted and patiently walked me through every possible payment plan. I was offered a very reasonable amount for my trade-in. Shoutout to Ryan, one of the sales managers, who made the whole process seem smooth as butter. Also shoutout to Jaafar in finance who knowledgeably answered every question. I keep thinking it was a dream, but I look outside and there’s my big beautiful baby looking back at me. I got the dream car I wanted at a reasonable plan. I traded in my old car for a fair price. When I experienced a hiccup after the sale (title transfer stuff) it was immediately addressed and resolved. IT’S SO WEIRD WHY ARE THEY SO NICE AND INFORMATIVE AND COMMUNICATIVE Five star experience, I hope they never change. More

Great car for a great price - very accommodating staff First, let me start by saying, I had been searching for several months (via all the well known sites) to upgrade my vehicle when I discovered a CPO 20 First, let me start by saying, I had been searching for several months (via all the well known sites) to upgrade my vehicle when I discovered a CPO 2018 X5 at BMW of Fairfax which had all the options I wanted plus more for a great price. Given my unfamiliarity with this dealership (which was 400+ miles away) and their "Sonic" program, I was a little skeptical to say the least. However, given the great condition and price of the vehicle, I eventually allowed curiosity to get the better of me, so I submitted an inquiry via their website. Within a few minutes, I received an email informing me the vehicle was still available and asking me if I had any questions. Given the logistical challenges/concerns of being so far away (i.e., 6.5 hours), I replied asking to speak with a Sales Manager given he/she would be the only one authorized to discuss available options (e.g., cost of delivering the vehicle to my state, accepting my vehicle as a trade-in, etc.). Within an hour, I received a call from the Director of their entire Internet Program, Qais, who I found to be very engaging and patient (instead of pushy, interruptive, and/or dismissive) whereby addressing each of my concerns/questions to the point, I immediately booked a hotel room after the call in order to make the 13 hour (there and back) drive. I will admit, my skepticism did make me stop and ask myself, "Are you certain this isn't going to end up being a total waste of time (and money) resulting in a long frustrating drive back?" However, given how well the conversation went with Qais, I decided to take the risk. Well... I'm glad I did! Upon my arrival, Qais made a point to walk out of what appeared to be a meeting with some of his staff to personally shake my hand and thank me for making the long drive up from NC. After a few moments of casual conversation, he introduced me to one of his top Sales Advisors, Alex, who I found to be just as friendly (and patient), as well as, very knowledgeable about the vehicle which he had waiting for me (in the show room). Within a few minutes, he and I were on the road test driving it whereby he not only allowed me to "kick it in", he actually told me to do it again and again each time with more force! I had read some blogs that the test drive was just around the block, well, mine wasn't; instead, we were gone for about 30 minutes which involved him patiently explaining all the features (sometimes more than once given my inability to comprehend all this vehicle had to offer), as well as, sharing stories about his professional and personal life which made me quickly realize, this man thoroughly enjoys both! And to ensure I would, too (with my new vehicle), he gave me his mobile number with permission to call/text him anytime should I ever have any questions/concerns. To continue... upon our return, Alex introduced me to their Finance guy, Ferris, who I (at the risk of being redundant) also found just as friendly, personable, and knowledgeable, so much so, I ended up spending well over an hour in his office - not because it took that long to close the deal, but because he, like Alex, was very easy to converse with both about his job and family - both are important to me because it gives me some idea about one's character. Anyway, speaking of "closing the deal", I must admit - I finally was surprised - pleasantly so - given my previous experiences with other dealerships - you know what I mean, good cop (salesperson) vs. bad cop (finance person). Well, that wasn't the case this time; instead, Ferris took his time explaining all the options (along with the pros & cons), as well as, permitted me sufficient time to read, calculate, ask some additional questions, etc., which in the end, allowed me to make an informed (and comfortable) decision. And yes, he, too, provided me with his mobile number along with the same permission as Alex. In fact, afterwards, he allowed me to walk outside with him to check out his own personal vehicle (as he was headed home for lunch with his wife and young child) which I noticed was also a BMW; thus, telling me he believes in what he's selling. In closing, I can't say enough about my experience except, it was well worth the 13 hour drive and hotel stay. And if you're possibly thinking (as I probably would given my skepticism) that I might be an employee of BMW or some paid marketing professional, well, I don't know what else I can say to convince you I'm not; instead, I'm simply an extremely satisfied customer who appreciates good customer service; thus, the reason I took the time to write this extensive review. Perhaps you'll decide to take the risk as I did... ;) Mike P.S. It's been more than a week since I purchased my vehicle whereby I have had to take both Ferris and Alex up on their offers to call them on their mobile numbers regarding a couple of minor items. And not that I was too surprised, but they both returned my calls promptly with the same level of enthusiasm as they had before the sale! More

It's large, clean and they offer espresso, coffee, water and sodas while you wait at no charge. They also offer WiFi and have several TVs to keep you occupied while you're waiting. More

Although the service bay lanes were full, I got in and out relatively quickly; service completed, car vacuumed and washed sparkly! Once on the road, I could genuinely feel the difference in the ride.
