Amazing service Dennis and Rob made me feel like family. The car was the most mundane part of my journey to PA. I was blown away by the zero pressure I felt through the entire process. The employees at Thompson BMW are actually car people and not just salesmen. They loved the fact that I was purchasing an epic car just as much as I did. HOWEVER, when the dealer staff go out of their way to minimize inconvenience and work around the customer's needs and schedule, the tables turn and it's almost ENJOYABLE. Good car service, poor customer service The actual inspection and oil change service went well with no issues. I called to see when my car would be ready (5-6 hours after dropping off). The actual inspection and oil change service went well with no issues. I called to see when my car would be ready (5-6 hours after dropping off). They said they would find out and call back, but they never did. I called back but got a voicemail message. I was in the area so I got dropped off at the service center. They told me that my car was going through the car wash and would be ready in 10 minutes. I waited for 45 minutes in the service center without any updates. I let them know that they could skip the car wash if it hasn’t gone through yet. They said it was going through the car wash now. The car arrived 15 minutes later and still did not go through the car wash, so I have no idea what was happening for an hour. They said they could quickly run it thru in 5-10 minutes (which ended up taking 20 minutes), and I was finally out of there. The lack of communication was the most frustrating part. More
Rude, Condescending, and outright Obnoxious I bought a luxury car from Thompson dealership a few years ago. I was looking at getting an X3. Walked into dealership after calling and scheduling I bought a luxury car from Thompson dealership a few years ago. I was looking at getting an X3. Walked into dealership after calling and scheduling an appointment. The guy I spoke with took me to another guy by name Ryan Gordon. Here is where all the trouble began. He asked if I had a trade and I said I might. First thing he does is not go over BMW but go over my potential trade, walk around the car, makes some obnoxious remarks about the car and what I should not expect with trade etc (his sales tactics if you will); then takes me inside to his space and goes over car, makes even more condescending remarks and at which point, I literally had to stop him and told him that I am walking away. On our way out, another person walked over to us - he claimed to be a manager or sales manager not sure but I gave my feedback about Ryan Gordon and his outright rude behavior with me and how he was condescending. This all happened about 5 months ago and I see that he is still working there so I am guessing customer feedback means absolutely nothing to their management. Whether customers buy a car or not, don't make them feel miserable. learn to treat them with respect. I know ONLY numbers is what probably matters to your management but numbers come with customers and customer wont come with arrogant sales people making customers unwelcome. I cannot say for sure if race played any part in all of the above. If so, it is even more troubling. More
