Thompson BMW is the best! Steve Deihl is excellent. He listens and doesn't try to sell you some thing you don't want. I probably called him every week to get a status update on my car and he never sound listens and doesn't try to sell you some thing you don't want. When I wasn't sure about the SMG option, he let me take an M3 for a test drive (I was buying a 325i) to help me decide and then let me drive a 325Ci that arrived before mine, just to be sure. I could go on, but I'll just say that I highly recommend Thompson and Steve Deihl is excellent. More
Overall, my experience at Thompson is good, but I have a few points to highlight.<br><br>1. Wayne is an idiot. They know their stuff and are straightforward.<br><br>3. The way that Thompson's assigns service loaners sucks! Two weeks ahead, they say that I have a car, but by the time my appointment comes, they have NO cars for me to use. I have still gotten service loaners, but no without a lot of hassle.<br><br>4. The computer system will assign you to a random service rep according to your last name. If you haven't called in a while, they will reassign you to your original service rep. For me, this was Wayne, and I called the service manager asking to reassign me to Joe. More
After having serious issues with Princeton BMW, I moved to Thompson. First service writer was good, but left. When i had a leftover problem from Princeton catch up with me, I was moved to Wayne. Does not understand anything about the job, always was clueless about your car, did not return phone calls, did not get car completed as promised, and did not call to authorize work. <br><br>Mark and Joe (dealt with both) have been great. Dealt primarily with Mark, and since changing over to him, service has be great. Has been helpful getting previous unsolved issues fixed, and has helped me realize that not all BMW service is bad. I recently moved to PA, and it is my first experience with this dealer. I'm curious to get some other opinions on my experience, before I type everything up. Here are a few paraphrased conversations I've had with "Wayne", the service advisor dealing with my car. None of the points made below have been exaggerated in any way. <br><br><br>First call, after I dropped off the car: <br><br>them: just to let you know, we're going to have to spend some money to work on this car. <br>me: no, it is certified pre-owned. <br>them: what do you know about the car? <br>me: what do you want to know? <br>them: the tranmission has been out of the car. <br>me: not to the best of my knowledge. <br>them: did you buy the car new? <br>me: no, it is certified pre-owned. <br>them: well it's a little "tricked out" (ed note. the car has H&R Race/Bilsteins/JTD RSMs/Borbet Wheels/Ellipsoids/Aftermarket Brakes) <br>me: okay, the trans has not been modified. <br>them: did you buy it from a bmw dealer? <br>me: it is CERTIFIED PRE OWNED. <br>them: we'll call you tomorrow <br><br>I was astounded by this conversation.
