I LIVE IN ALLENTOWN, PA (10 MINUTES FROM A LOCAL BMW DEALER) AND WAS SOMEWHAT RELUCTANT TO TRAVEL OUTSIDE MY CAR BUYING "COMFORT ZONE" TO PURCHASE A CPO BMW FROM THOMPSON. NEVERTHELESS, I TRAVELED TO DEALER) AND WAS SOMEWHAT RELUCTANT TO TRAVEL OUTSIDE MY CAR BUYING "COMFORT ZONE" TO PURCHASE A CPO BMW FROM THOMPSON. NEVERTHELESS, I TRAVELED TO DOYELSTOWN ON A BEAUTIFUL SATURDAY AFTERNOON TO MEET WITH SHAHEED SANDERS (MY CLIENT ADVISOR) AND TAKE MY INTERNET (328 xi) FIND FOR A TEST DRIVE. UPON ENTERING THE DEALERSHIP I WAS GREETED BY SHAHEED WITH A FIRM HANDSHAKE AND A SMILE (THIS WAS IMPORTANT TO ME). AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF "GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER" I WAS TAKEN OUTSIDE TO WHERE MY CAR WAS TO BE FOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS EVERYTHING THAT SHAHEED SAID IT WOULD BE (VIA NUMEROUS TELEPHONE CONVERSATIONS). THIS PLEASED ME IMMENSELY! ON A PERSONAL NOTE, I FOUND SHAHEED TO BE POSITIVE, KNOWLEDGEABLE, STRAIGHT FORWARD AND FRIENDLY. THE TEST DRIVE CAME NEXT. AND ONCE AGAIN I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. THE CAR HANDLED AS WELL AS IT LOOKED. AT THIS POINT IN TIME I'M BATTING TWO FOR TWO BUT HAVE YET TO "NEGOTIATE" A PRICE --- THE THING THAT MOST PEOPLE INCLUDING MYSELF DREAD THE MOST! I AM HAPPY TO REPORT THAT MY FEARS WERE UNFOUNDED. A FEW MINUTES AFTER PRESENTING SHAHEED AND SHAWN (THOMPSON'S VERY PERSONABLE USED CAR SALES MANAGER) WITH AN EDUCATED AND FAIR OFFER, IT WAS ACCEPTED. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR "NO HAGGLE" APPROACH TO THE SALE. THEY RECOGNIZED THE VALUE OF THEIR CAR AS WELL AS MINE. THEY MADE A LITTLE MONEY AND I LEFT A HAPPY CAMPER! THANK YOU SHAHEED AND SHAWN FOR THE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! THIS MAY HAVE BEEN MY FIRST VISIT TO YOUR DEALERSHIP BUT IT WILL NOT BE MY LAST. Purchased a CPO white 07 335i Convertible. Probably could have gotten a better price elsewhere but this car was equiped exactly how I wanted. The service during and after the sale was outstanding. There was no pressure and no surprise tack-on or exhorbitant fees that other dealers try to add. After delivery, I noticed several issues with the car, emailed the salesman expecting a battle to get them resolved. Not the case, Joe was very supportive and related well to my concerns. Told me his primary interest was my satisfaction. Had me call service to setup an appointment. Using their valet service, a driver drove 40 mi to my office on a snowy morning to exchange a 2011 328xi loaner with my car. Joe was aware of everything I needed done, worked with Matt in service to make sure everything was addressed to my satisfaction. Matt was very courteous and promptly returned my calls. The car was ready exactly when he promised, everything was taken car of as well as several additional maintenance items, saving me a future trip, all free of charge. The car was returned to me in the same manner it was taken, detailed as it were a just purchased delivery. The driver who delivered the car was courteous as well and when I realized I left my ipod in the center console, I called his cell (I had his number in my phone from when he called me) and he returned without complaint. This was by far the best experience of the 14 or so cars I've purchased over the past 30 years, highly recommended. More
Have had over 30 cars in 24 years, Scott made this one the best purchase. He didn't try to hide anything and for once I felt that the salesman was really working for me. got a great deal on a 2008 335x the best purchase. Had a steering issue with my '07 328i. Took me right in, excellent work, provided me with a BMW loaner. The big thing for me is that when I got the car back, it was repaired right, delivery personnel wer excellent work, provided me with a BMW loaner. Drove from NY to buy a CPO 535 wagon with the options I could not find elsewhere. Car was delivered with the comfort access malfunctioning. Local dealer diagnosed, yet Thompson had car for 2 days and cou could not find elsewhere. Car was delivered with the comfort access malfunctioning. Local dealer diagnosed, yet Thompson had car for 2 days and could not fix. Didn't do the two little things requested. Did find a problem with brakes that car should not have had on delivery. Pay a lot for CPO, told car like new, yet they cannot make their systems work. Overall, a very bad experience. More
I would def recommend this place. Customer service is good. Service Advisor will allocate his/her time accordingly to go over every single thing that has been done to your car with you. I found a nice used Volvo C70 online at Thompson BMW and drove 3 hrs to purchase it after dealing with a sales guy on the phone. After the whole purchase experience, I was most impressed with the level of professionalism of this dealer. They didn't try to change the deal once I got there and the car was in as perfect condition as you could expect: detailed, new brakes, wipers, new synth oil, and any mechanical problems fixed. I wondered if they would give me pushback about my trade-in, as it had some body damage they hadn't seen, but nope. Good stuff. I signed papers, put the top down, and drove home. My only complaint was that they were insulted when I insisted in an outside mechanic looking the car over before we completed the deal (would you EVER buy a used car w/o doing this?). They relented after I insisted and the mechanic down the street verified all of the needs that the Thompson guys had identified, and that's it. Don't know what the big deal was - they were taken aback that I would insinuate that a CAR DEALER like them would tell me anything other than they ABSOLUTE TRUTH about a car....the nerve of some people! :-P More

I always get my choice of BMW that I want when my car goes in. The best part for me is I am young and they still treat me with respect. I hate when I go to some dealers (BMW Of The Main Line) and they treat you like crap. I bought my '07 530xi from main line and will never go back. I will always stick with Thompson even if it is a longer distance to drive there. Neil in service is great! very helpful and always knows what he is talking about. This dealer really makes you feel like family! More
I recently purchased a 2005 Certified Pre-Owned X5 from Thompson BMW, and have had an excellent experience. I live out of state, and right from the initial pre-sale conversations have been very accomodatin Thompson BMW, and have had an excellent experience. I live out of state, and right from the initial pre-sale conversations have been very accomodating and supportive through the entire transation. Because I live over 3hrs away I have not been able to bring the car directly to them for post sale related issues. One issues was cosmetic and one was mechanically related and in both instances they have provided excellent service and have made arrangements with my local dealerships to service the vehicle at little or no cost to me. It's nice to see that they don't see the relationship with the customer ending after the sale, but as a starting point. They really stand by their products, which is something I have not experienced with many other dealerships out there. I highly recommend working with this dealer and would make the trip myself for future purchases. More
I purchased a pre-owned Volkswagen from Thompson BMW with a 1000 mile 1 month warranty. This vehicle was purchased for my 18 year old son to take back and forth to college and a 30 hour a week job. Two mon a 1000 mile 1 month warranty. This vehicle was purchased for my 18 year old son to take back and forth to college and a 30 hour a week job. Two months and less than 3000 miles later the timeing chain guides broke and the timeing chain failed resulting in major damage to the engine which now has to be replaced. Luckily we had purchased an extended warranty on our own that covered most of the costs, but still will have to pay at least $1500 out of our pocket. When I contacted Thompson they were not very helpful. When the vehicle had broken down we had it towed to a local VW dealer so it could be properly diagnosed and quickly fixed. We thought it was something minor. The only offer Thompson made to me was to have the VW dealer tow the car to them and let them replace the enging that my warranty company was supplying. They also wanted the warranty company to pay the labor costs to them (about $900). This would not have helped me because most of what I had to pay was for daignostic labor and towing costs that I had already incurred with the VW dealer, but Thompson would have come out about $900 ahead. Apparently Thompson thinks it is not unreasonable for an engine to fail in a car that we paid $8600 for and only had for 2 months. This whole thing has been a nightmare. My son has been without his car for over two weeks and is still looking at about two more weeks until he has it back. I will never again deal with any of the Thompson organizations and would not reccomend them to my worst enemy. More
