The experience had its highs and lows. We traveled 1300 miles with intentions of buying this vehicle and asked very specific questions to get the overall condition of the X3. The sales person was not upfront and didn't disclose all of the issues with this vehicle and tried to make it up in the end. There was little done to the vehicle prior to us arriving and there was next to nothing done as far as cleaning/prepping it for sale. Last, the finance manager spent time talking negative about the BMW products in order to push extended warranties. I am not new to the brand and this was not a BMW level experience. Updated 17 Jul 24 - I had the car in for repair and it turns out that the passenger side was repainted. Carfax provided showed a clean carfax and no issues with the vehicle. Once again, you cannot trust this dealer. There are too many shady things going on here at this location. More
Beyond frustrated with BMW of Denver Downtown. Unprofessional - the Sales Manager and Financial Analyst are not returning my calls, and I had to follow up again and again with the Sales Advisor to Unprofessional - the Sales Manager and Financial Analyst are not returning my calls, and I had to follow up again and again with the Sales Advisor to get him to respond. Incompetent - the used X1 I purchased showed mechanical issues within a few days of purchase and is missing key materials like the tow hook. The Service Department was left to address a mechanical issue, the first, and I need to return to address another. Worst of all, they owe us over $8k for our trade in and it has been 6 weeks since we made the trade! They blamed CDK cyber attack, but that attack was 4 weeks after we made the trade. We love BMWs - this is our 5th BMW. But we will not purchase through Sonic Automotive or Denver Downtown again. Amir and team have not proven worthy of our hard earned dollars. We will purchase from Boulder or Schomp next time. We give kudos to BMW of Denver Service and Parts. The management has turned around the Service Dept and Parts has always been well managed! More
Worst experience of my life. I have nothing against the sales person I worked with. I purchased a used jeep less than a month ago. Hesitant, and mentioned that if there were any I have nothing against the sales person I worked with. I purchased a used jeep less than a month ago. Hesitant, and mentioned that if there were any large fixes in that 1st month if they were going to do the right thing and fix it, IF this happened.. guess what... the engine blew up on me.... and they have refused to help in any way. Bad communication and horrible business. Yes. I know buying a vehicle as is and used has its hurdles. That's why I purchased a warranty, had the conversations I had prior to buying. This company in the beginning told me they would fix it if we paid.... mind you we haven't even had this for a month!!!!! And now, they say they don't have the tools to fix a leak..... im so enraged and disappointed by the service here. Being treated like less than desirable customer. It's been weeks of back and forth, so much spent on rideshares, being put out of work and schedules for this. I don't feel like this company is doing what a good business should do. NEVER buy from here unless you're buying a brand new car...... im sure that experience is much better and you'll probably be treated better than I was. So a month in and my car is broken and sitting unfixed, thousands in and a vehicle that doesn't run without overheating, sold with issues and no repercussions for anyone but me. More
Overall just a poor experience. they seem disorganized. I decided to buy the car but given I was over an hour away I could not make it the next day to pick it up. I offered to pay a non refundable deposit and sign a contract of sale but they said no if someone comes in we will sell the car to them and will not hold the car for you. They offered a trade in value multiple thousands below several other dealerships I had been in. Was told maintenance was complementary for the next 3 years then after contract signing was told no it is not included but you can pay 4k to have this added. I didn't like the humans there and overall a crap experience. I would not recommend them at all. More
