I visited BMW of Denver Downtown yesterday to see a used Porsche they had for sale. Since I was coming from Fort Collins over an hour away I made an appointment a few days before to ensure the vehicle would Porsche they had for sale. During the call to schedule the appointment I asked if there were any known issues with the vehicle to ensure I wasn’t wasting my time and I was told there was not. I also inspected the Carfax and it stated the car had not been in any accidents. I arrive at the dealer and meet with my sales person Amir Imamovic, and after a few minutes chatting he tells me that the Porsche I had come to look at was rear ended a couple days ago but the damage “Wasn’t too bad”. This comes as a surprise to me as when I called they said there were no issues with the vehicle, and secondly, no one has reached out to me to let me know the car has been rear ended despite sending me several texts over the last few days confirming my appointment. Since I already spent the time driving down, I went to check out the car with Amir. The car like he said wasn’t terrible but needed a new rear bumper, and might have had some issues with the rear wing. I asked if they were planning on fixing the car, to which he replied yes but he has no timeline of when it would be fixed. We then go back inside, Amir takes a call on his cellphone and disappears for 15 minutes. Right as I was considering walking out, he returned and handed me a sheet for the car with pricing, and it was still the same price $61k as it was listed for weeks ago. I told him that the car was no longer worth $61k as it previously had a clean Carfax with no accidents reported and now has been in a collision. His only response was “We don’t negotiate used car prices”. So I quickly left the dealer. I would highly recommend avoiding this dealer and especially Amir if you don’t want to waste your time with a shady car dealership. More
