Absolutely incomprehensible negative experience after purchasing a used EV. I need the confirmation that my purchase was reported to the IRS by the dealer so I can claim the used EV tax credit. Yes, it was brought up multiple times throughout the process before I signed. Yes, the vehicle qualified. Yes. I qualified. I have been met with nothing but stonewalling replies that I ONLY need to provide the sale paperwork to my CPA which is not correct at all. I even sent the appropriate links. When that fell on deaf ears I sent the appropriate screenshots. All I've gotten in response to that is... crickets. I am sharing in hopes no one else goes into this dealership with the false hope that this dealership will cooperate in facilitating their role in the used car or new car IRS EV year end tax credit. And also yes, the Autonation website even has a page that gives the reassurance the dealer will provide the necessary confirmation paperwork. Unbelievable. More
