After submitting my car and a couple of hours later, they told me the car was sold without notifying me about my appraisal and completely dropped my buying process. Their salesperson and manager knew about my intentions and it was a completely unprofessional way to treat a buying customer. More
If you value time and money look elsewhere. I don't enjoy writing this review as it means I've taken a considerable loss thanks to my experience with BMW of Chattanooga. The purchasing experi I don't enjoy writing this review as it means I've taken a considerable loss thanks to my experience with BMW of Chattanooga. The purchasing experience was a chore as the sales person appeared disinterested in selling "only" a $27k certified pre owned 2016 X1. He repeatedly attempted to convince me the $45k new model was a better idea. Even when we did agree to terms it took nearly 48 hours and multiple trips to the dealership to take delivery. It was around the holidays and I'm sure they were short staffed, but they over promised and under delivered. I had to ask twice to be provided the all weather floor mats that were in the vehicle when I test drove it. When they did deliver the promised servicing (repair of a squeaky drivers seat and stuck glove box) had not been performed. The sales person said he would schedule that with the service department and I would receive a call. That was ~Dec 20th and I had no follow up by January 10th so I had to call and schedule on my own. About that time the steering column had developed a very noticeable tick when turning the wheel so I asked to have that checked as well. This was dismissed as nothing to worry about, but the service manager stated "It seems like you just don't like this car, do you want me to have the sales staff contact you to see if we can put you in something newer\nicer?" I was so incensed I left them a zero star rating on the BMW survey that was emailed me following the visit. The service manager was very upset as it "made him sit in a meeting with corporate about how to speak to a customer". I honestly did feel bad as this was not the service department's fault. I hand delivered two Lupis pizzas that Friday afternoon to the service techs and apologized for the poor rating. I just wanted the product I was sold and felt I was not getting it. A few weeks later I noticed a distinct pull to the passenger side of the vehicle. Fearing I may have burned a bridge at the dealership I took it to an independent big box mechanic. It was in fact out of alignment and they indicated they did not have the necessary equipment to preform the work and I'd have to visit the dealership. I honestly considered driving to Atlanta to avoid BMW of Chattanooga, but I did want them to see the further difficulty I was having with the Certified X1. After speaking to the GM they did agree to split the $200 cost of an alignment. In early July I received a letter from BMW of America indicating there was a recall on my vehicle due a defective B pillar trim piece. This made it more likely in the event of a crash that rear seat passengers would be injured. I have a 12 week old daughter. I purchased the X1 specifically because my wife and I were expecting. I took this in stride, however, as recalls happen all the time and I knew BMW would provide a fix. Still, given all of the other issues I has encountered it made me wonder what other defects might be creeping in the car so I decided that I was going to take a huge equity loss after only owning for 7 months. Much to my surprise when I visited BMW of Chattanooga they declined to make any offer on the vehicle as the recall has triggered a Stop Sell. I've had a Certified PreOwned 2016 BMW X1 for 7 months and now BMW of Chattanooga tells me its worth $0 to them. This is blatantly refusing to stand behind your products. I was absolutely dumbfounded. Needless to say I immediately left the dealership and traded in at a local Ford location for an Explorer. I'll never consider BMW of Chattanooga or recommend them for any automotive service. It's a sad situation and I fully understand that they are a for profit company. Still, that is no way to treat a customer. I hope no one else has the experience I've been left to clean up after. More

Luckily I thought to ask before I drove all the way down there. I ask if I could drive the car for a couple hours to get a feel for the car because bmw's are notorious for bad reviews and engine problems. I was told by Christine no about the test drive, that they last 30 minutes. So I would have to drive an hour and a half to drive a car for 30 minutes and make it big decision like buying a car based on a 30 minute drive? To me that's insane and very unprofessional of them. I had already been approved for a loan for the car but I won't be rushed to make that kind of choice. Just happy I didn't make that drive for nothing. More
Great Experience BMW of Chattanooga had a 2014 Audi A6 with low miles and at a great price. I really had low expectations because of some really bad experiences with BMW of Chattanooga had a 2014 Audi A6 with low miles and at a great price. I really had low expectations because of some really bad experiences with other (non BMW) dealers, and because I never envisioned purchasing an Audi or from a BMW dealership. We were on the lot for a few minutes when Phil Hill met us outside. He was extremely polite and informative. He gave us some history on the automobile and we went on a quick test drive. I still had more questions and research to do about the vehicle, and told Phil I would need some time to think about it. He was very understanding of my time and did not push or hurry me any direction. A few days later I asked him if the vehicle was still available, and it was so I went to pick it up. The car was ready and clean before I even arrived, and the whole buying and financing experience was quick and painless. Parnell Pitts was our Finance Manager, and he did a great job of explaining all the extra insurance plans and warranties, and did not try to sell or push us anything after we told him we weren't interested. This is a great dealership with great people! More
BMW Chattanooga has exceeded our expectations in delivering efficient service and truly working through some very specific needs. The team in Chattanooga runs a top has exceeded our expectations in delivering efficient service and truly working through some very specific needs. The team in Chattanooga runs a top of the line experience whether you are purchasing a new vehicle or servicing an older model. Having worked with some high end dealers in other cities, I feel very fortunate to have this one right here in my home town. My rep Jonathan Allers worked closely with me through a very hectic schedule to deliver a perfect fit for our family. Truly goes above and beyond! We also appreciate Alex Hilson as part of the Chattanooga team as she kept in touch with us through a long search. This is the best dealership I have ever worked with through over a dozen new car purchases across the state. More

Love My New BMW Overall excellent experience, I highly recommend BMW of Chattanooga. I was searching for a 2018 BMW 440i and was ready to make a purchase out of state Overall excellent experience, I highly recommend BMW of Chattanooga. I was searching for a 2018 BMW 440i and was ready to make a purchase out of state for the right price. BMW of Chattanooga had an unbeatable price for the exact car I was looking for. As I was out of state Jonathan Allers made me feel very comfortable, we agreed on a price before I headed that way, and Jonathan also worked on his day off to send me requested information in a timely manner. I reached out to them and made the 7.5 hour drive the very next day. The car looked exactly like the pictures and drove like a charm. Jonathan A. in the service department was knowledgable and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. Sam in the finance department was great to work with and it only took about 20 mins to go through the finance process. I've dealt with many dealerships in the past and this has by far been one of the best experiences. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. More
