Great buying experience. The atmosphere was friendly and there was no sense of trying to push the car or additional sevices. THe financing package was great. I enjoyed my experience working with Robert Baylor and everything was delivered as promised. I would describe myself as a fairly demanding customer, but all of my expectations were met. Robert made the process very professional and streamlined. He spent the most time with me for the orientation of the vehicle compared to any other vehicle I have purchased. He also kept me updated throughout the entire buying process as to when the car would be available. The only reason I gave a lower score for price is that there wasn't a reduction in MSRP, and other dealerships at least did this to a certain extent. I would definitely recommend Robert Baylor and Charlottesville BMW to any of my friends and family. More
Although we live near Richmond, Robert Baylor made it worth the drive to Charlottesville with his timely response and excellent customer service. After paying nearly $2200 for an extended maintenance agreement, we found that the only thing this dealership did was reset the switch indicating it was time to change the oil. After the 100,000 mile de agreement, we found that the only thing this dealership did was reset the switch indicating it was time to change the oil. After the 100,000 mile deadline, we took our car to a mechanic who said he would be surprised if the oil was ever change as it had foam on it. All of our belts were worn to a dangerous level. Never once in the several oil change/routine maintenance visits were any of these brought to our attention. The date on the air filter state 2005 and this vehicle was purchased in 2007. After notifying a sales manager at the dealership of the aforementioned issues, his suggestion was for us to buy a new vehicle from him. No doubt BMW's are wonderful and reliable vehicles, however, I would suggest purchasing one from a dealership who stands behind and actually services the vehicle after the purchase. More
This was our first experience working with a BMW dealership and Josh was awesome. I requested a certain BMW vehicle and I was able to purchase it within a few days! Thank you guys very much. We had a pleasant experience with everyone that we worked with. My wife and I were looking for 2 differenent vehicles and they were able to find us both one within a one week per with everyone that we worked with. My wife and I recently bought our new 2012 BMW 650i from this dealership. Camilo was very knowledgeable about the car as well as being very accommodating and personable, ensuring that he provided us with th this dealership. I have bought many new cars and the experience is usually one of relief after it is all said and done. With Charlottesville BMW, everyone ensured that we were at ease with our new car buying experience and made us feel like part of their family. Even after the sale was completed Camilo called us on the way home to check and make sure that we were doing well and had no additional questions or concerns about the new car. We did have some questions but told him we would like to get back with him on Thursday, which was his day off, but he told us to call him anyway and gave us his personal cell phone number. We traveled some distance to buy our new BMW in Charlottesville, having two different dealerships closer to our home, but I would do it again because of the wonderful experience with this dealership. We will make Charlottesville BMW our dealer of choice in the future. This is our first BMW! More
I worked with this dealer over the last few months looking to replace my used BMW with a new one. I was very exacting and went on many test drives, negotiated on a few cars and generally was probably looking to replace my used BMW with a new one. I was very exacting and went on many test drives, negotiated on a few cars and generally was probably a giant pain in the butt. But everyone at the dealership was unfailingly nice and offered me several good deals and seemingly endless patience. Even better, as part of a larger BMW dealership family they were able to pull from the two Richmond stores inventory as well. When I found a X3 I was interested in at the Richmond location, they went the extra distance (literally in this case) to work out a very fair deal and trade in value. While the car was being driven over, they even gave me a loaner so I could get some lunch rather than wait around. The car was carefully prepped post sale, and the delivery instructions on the complex iDrive system where very complete. I was able to reset the TPS system this morning in 5 seconds thanks to the walk through. I am very pleased with the BMW of Charlottesville folks and strongly recommend them. More
