Adam along with Mike Evans (general manager) went above and beyond communicating and assuring that I felt assured all was being done to address the problem. My X3 was in for issues from Nov. 24th to Dec. 18th. The support given to the service department by the engineering department was poor but Adam kept pushing until a fix was found. Thank you Adam. I was given a great loaner to use for the 3 plus weeks. If I were to rate the engineering support group it would be 1 star and I doubt I would buy another BMW. BMW USA should thank Adam and Mike for their great customer focus. More

My time at BMW of Charlottesville could not have been better. They were so knowledgable and helpful, and really bent over backwards to make my new 2016 x1 purchase an experience to remember. Special thanks to sales rep Gary, sales manager Greg and GM Mike for highlighting our holiday season. We are BMW people for life and the hard work of these dedicated professionals did nothing but strengthen that connection. Bravo! More

Here is the detailed review: Much of the negotiating and planning for the purchase was conducted via the internet. I worked with Gary Hawthorne. Gary does an excellent job at answering internet inquiries. In my experience, most dealers don’t even read emails. They just immediately start calling you repeatedly, begging you to visit. Gary doesn’t do that. He actually reads your emails and responds with thoughtful and thorough answers. Once purchase date came, I went down to Charlottesville feeling confident, but still cautious. Dealers are known to bait you in with false promises. Gary doesn’t do that either. Gary and team had all the paperwork filled out with the exact numbers I was expecting. Further, the car had already been completely prepared for delivery—detailed inside and out, temporary tags ready to go, shining bright in the showroom. I looked things over, took the car for a quick drive, and got to signing. The entire team was incredibly friendly. Really, genuinely nice and professional people. In addition to Gary, I worked with Hillary (the GM), Ned (another manager), and Neal (finance guy). Hillary and Neal even worked with me to make an additional warranty coverage fit into my budget. Lastly, a special note to fellow DC-area shoppers. This dealership is a bit smaller than some in the DC-area, but it was very clean and organized. I also think the smaller size presents a much more personal experience. I did not feel like just another “deal.” And you do NOT sacrifice price for quality of service. This dealership has very competitive prices relative to the larger, less personal DC-area dealerships. In summary, if you are considering a BMW, I strongly recommend heading out to BMW of Charlottesville. Even if it is not your closest dealership, I honestly think it is worth the trip. Ask for Gary. Sustained excellence! I was a new BMW customer in 2010 and have returned often to 'check in" on a newer models and new features. Phil Marx seems to know minute detail about every model BMW and is always very patient and takes pleasure in explaining every detail and option on several models. providing test drives, accurately explaining costs, etc. Hillary Gutshall, the General Manager, always goes out of her way to be friendly and welcoming.and never 'too busy'. Don Marsh and the group in the service center are excellent, professional and very helpful. The new service center building is a major improvement in the facility - roomy, clean comfortable and modern. Appointments for scheduled service or little checks (tires, nitrogen top up, warning light,) are promptly scheduled, 'drop-ins' are no problem and often same day. I had an appointment for service and ended up looking at a new model in sales! More

In summary, they seem to have the resources, the appointment process can be done on-line, the loaners are available if you make the appointment, and the staff is friendly, courteous, attentive, and professional.
