I picked up my new certified pre owned X5 the other night from Hunterdon BMW and I can't even begin to explain how happy I am with my purchase. I must say that the service at this dealership was absolutely f from Hunterdon BMW and I can't even begin to explain how happy I am with my purchase. I must say that the service at this dealership was absolutely fantastic and most of it was attributed to my client advisor, Mike Shamy. I can not say enough about Mike; from the moment I stepped into the dealership, I was taken care of with an extremely high level of customer service. Mike assisted me in coming to my decision, not by being pushy (as I have experienced with other dealerships), but rather by being courteous and respectful of my needs. I appreciate the way he treated me especially because I am only in my early 20's and have experienced being talked down to or treated as a buyer who is not "serious" at other dealerships. Needless to say, I was very impressed with Mike. Two other individuals who assisted me were Chris Rokosny and Darius Griffin. Both of these gentlemen were knowledgeable and always treated me with the up most respect. Again, I just want to give credit where credit is due. Chris, Darius, and especially Mike are the reason my experience at Hunterdon BMW went so well and the reason I purchased my vehicle from this dealership. More
I had the most wonderful experience with Hunterdon BMW. Keep in mind there are 2 other BMW Dealers within a 20 mile radius of my home (Open Road and Princeton). After being very displeased with the service at Open Road and the lack of interest to help from Princeton, I sent an email request to Hunterdon BMW about a car of interest. Within minutes, Mike Shamy was calling me on the phone to assist me. I was looking for a new car and to purchase within the next 3-4 months so I was in no immediate rush which I made clear during my first conversation. His eagerness to help made me want to drive the extra miles to go to this dealer. When I arrived, which was after 7pm in the evening, he was more than happy to help, though the dealership was near closing hours. After seeing and test driving the vehicle that night, I was excited that I had found the vehicle I wanted. Mike came in the next day (his day off) and spent the entire day answering questions and working to get the deal finalized. He made the entire process of paperwork simple and before I knew it I was coming in to get my new car. The day I picked up my car, I had the pleasure of dealing with Darius, the aftersales specialist, who thoroughly explained all the additional options and warranties to keep my vehicle worry-free. All-in-all, I have never been treated with more stellar service than my experience at Hunterdon and I encourage anyone who may be browsing for a new or pre-owned vehicle to visit this dealer ship. 5-STARS!!! What good is having the Ultimate Driving Machine without the Ultimate Dealership Experience? At Hunterdon BMW, that’s exactly the type of total package we got when we shopped for our 3-series convertible. P the Ultimate Dealership Experience? At Hunterdon BMW, that’s exactly the type of total package we got when we shopped for our 3-series convertible. Pattie O’Neal and Darius Griffin were the most courteous professionals we ever dealt with in the last 20+ years. They presented us with a very reasonable offer in a very clear and concise manner, with no hidden numbers and gimmicks. We’ve always considered ourselves as very demanding and info-hungry customers, but with their patience and experience, they always fulfilled our inquiries in a timely fashion. Mike Yates, the Sales Manager, is an absolute down-to-earth guy that we feel very comfortable dealing with. We also met with the owner of the dealership while we’re there, very nice guy also. The same applies to their Service and Parts department, especially Michelle Sellar and Amy Kemper, who assisted us with numerous issues (e.g. we hit a pot hole and needed a wheel and tire replacement). Unlike other Service and Parts departments that we dealt with in the past, they always presented information to us in terms that we can understand, and not with some mechanical terms right out of the Chilton Manual!. Every time we have a non-urgent question regarding certain functionality on the vehicle, we always got a response promptly. Kudos to all the staffs at the dealership, who always greeted us with a smile whenever we walked in, who made us feel like we’re part of the family, the Hunterdon BMW family. We could have continued on and on with pages and pages of materials praising this dealership, but we believe actions are louder than words, so we decided to ditch the Nissan experience and trade it in for the Ultimate BMW Dealership Experience: Several weeks after we took delivery of our 3-series convertible, I traded in my wife’s Nissan and got her a brand-new X3! My 2001 530I was towed there after breaking down and was told the battery needed to be replaced. They charged me $179.93 to install and charged me $274.95 for the battery. I was unhappy but what could I do told the battery needed to be replaced. They charged me $179.93 to install and charged me $274.95 for the battery. I was unhappy but what could I do even though my dealer told me they would do same for $280.00. Well less than a week later I broke down again in my driveway same as last experience, and I have waited for them to call me and there has been no reply. AVOID THIS DEALER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The service manager at Hunterdon BMW, was rude and unprofessional. He made it very clear to me that he did not value me as a customer -- I asked him point blank if he cared if he lost me as a custome unprofessional. He made it very clear to me that he did not value me as a customer -- I asked him point blank if he cared if he lost me as a customer and he said "No!". I sent letters and emails to the general manager and the owner simply asking for an apology from their service manager, but neither one ever responded -- not even a form letter. I raised my complaint to BMW NA. They were very responsive, very nice and very helpful. They contacted Hunterdon BMW on my behalf but Hunterdon BMW wanted nothing to do with the situation. BMW NA informed me that they were sorry but each dealership is independently owned and that they could only suggest that Hunterdon send an apology letter. Stay away from this dealership! More
Had a fantastic experience dealing with Scott Marlowe and the folks at Hunterdon BMW. My wife and I began our search for a 335xi in early fall 2007, anticipating a purchase in late 2008. Scott was happy to the folks at Hunterdon BMW. My wife and I began our search for a 335xi in early fall 2007, anticipating a purchase in late 2008. Scott was happy to work with us, even with our intention to buy later the next year. Scott was the picture of professionalism and never pressured us. We decided to buy this year from Hunterdon BMW. We visited a couple of other dealerships in the area, but never reached the comfort level experienced with Hunterdon BMW. We picked up the car yesterday, which was especially nice since we weren't anticipating delivery until mid-January. It seems that Scott under-promised and over-delivered at every turn, which was a refreshing change from how business is typically conducted these days. The entire sales process went off without a hitch. Scott, and everyone else we worked with at the dealership, went the extra step to explain options and understand how they would best suit our needs. We truly got the feeling that they were interested in developing a long-term relationship and not simply trying to sell us on additional options and programs that didn't fit. This was by far the best buying experience I've had with an auto dealership. More
From the moment I walked in to Hunterdon BMW I knew they were different. I had visited both Morristown BMW and Flemington BMW yesterday before going to Hunterdon. The receptionist at Hunterdon (Becky) met m were different. I had visited both Morristown BMW and Flemington BMW yesterday before going to Hunterdon. The receptionist at Hunterdon (Becky) met me with a smile and summoned a salesperson without any hesitation. I can't say the same for the other two. The dealership is small but the experience was amazing. My Salesperson Scott Marlowe was very knowledgeable and friendly. I had already driven the car I wanted so Scott got to work on some lease payments and we had a deal put together in 15 minutes. This was the best car buying exerience I've ever had. Scott said all of their salespeople have price authority and did not need to go to a manager for approval. I was shocked! I just thought someone needed to know that buying a BMW in NJ does not need to be a hassle. Go to Hunterdon BMW and ask for Scott Marlowe. I can not comment on their service department yet but I have to believe that they are going to be just as nice to work with. More
I did not purchase my 2002 BMW 525i from Hunterdon BMW, but my wife did purchase here 325i there. We have had both cars in for repairs in the past and I have been lukewarm to their service. First, I thou but my wife did purchase here 325i there. We have had both cars in for repairs in the past and I have been lukewarm to their service. First, I thought their prices were high and, after comparing them to other local dealers (Flemington BMW and Princeton BMW) I have confirmed that they are the most expensive place to get service. This is also true for parts. Second, every time I've brought the car in for service, I get a litany of problems, most of them are either minor or seem made up. My wife needed new front brakes and Hunterdon wanted to charge over $600 for a front brake job, with rotors; Flemington wanted about $450. Needless to say, I did not take the car to Hunterdon. My car had a bad battery and I had the car towed their. After $300 to replace the battery, they still wanted another $150 to diagnose the charging system because they saw a small drain. The "drain " was the radar detector, which was plugged into the cigarette lighter! I resolved the "drain" for less than $150! Less than a year later, the battery I had purchased from them died and I wanted to get it replaced. I needed to get to work and took the battery out think they could swap me for a new one. Clearly, the battery was bad. When I called them, they told me they could not check the battery out of the car and needed me to bring the car in with the dead battery installed. That would require me to spend several hours getting a towing service to tow the car to the dealership, leave the car there all day so they could replace the bad battery. I did not have that much time and decided to replace the battery myself. At least then when it dies, I can put a new one in myself! I have owned a lot of cars and had them services at many places, as well as done my own service. In the 30+ years I have been a car owner, I have to say the Hunterdon BMW ranks as one of the worse for service. They are argumentative, pushy, unhelpful and completely worthless. I will never take a car to Hunterdon BMW for service again! More
I came in to test drive the new 325 and '01 z3. They were very friendly and answered all my questions. Within minutes we were test driving both cars. Overall, the experience was pleasant. I bought my 2002 M3 new through this dealer in February, 2002. At the time, there was a waiting list at all of the dealers in the area for the new M3. At some of the dealers, however, they were taking "finder fees" on new M3s in addition to the deposit towards the car itself. Some dealers made the deposits non-refundable. Hunterdon, on the other hand, went out of their way to make the purchase experience enjoyable. They even allowed my to special order my car through the European Delivery program of BMW, which no other dealer would even consider (the car is not a usual Euro-Delvery Program vehicle). About a month before my scheduled trip to Germany, we were forced to postpone our trip, and Patty once again stepped in to help make all of the arrangements to put the delivery on hold. The purchase experinece was the best I have ever experienced.

When I bring the car back for service, the service and management at the dealer know me by name, and are always quick to talk with me, or offer me the keys to whatever new BMW they might have for a test drive. They are a small-ish dealer that has big dealer abilities and a small town feel. I highly recommend them. More
