Showed up at this dealership to browse the inventory. I had to actually go inside to find a sales person after walking around the lot for 25 minutes. Noone seemed to want to help me. Guess I should have had to actually go inside to find a sales person after walking around the lot for 25 minutes. Noone seemed to want to help me. Guess I should have changed out of my jeans and wore a suit if I wanted any kind of service. I eventually had some grumpy old man begrudgingly assigned to me. I explained what I was looking for and he must have lost interest because I was looking for a manual 328 rather than an M5. I never heard from him again even though he said he would keep an eye out. What kind of salesman wouldn't attempt to find a customer a car??!? Guess the meager commission on a 30k+ 3 series wasn't enough incentive. I went and bought a car from Audi instead. Better build quality, features, and styling for the money anyway. Also, far less snobby. Guess the people who sell the cars are just as pretentious as the people who drive them. He probably was bitter about helping someone in their mid-twenties... More
They will try to wring every last penny out of you. I brought my BMW in to be serviced because it was shaking a bit. A week later and 1800$, it wasn't covered under my extended warranty. I get the car ba brought my BMW in to be serviced because it was shaking a bit. A week later and 1800$, it wasn't covered under my extended warranty. I get the car back and it is still shaking. They lie. The people there make a commission on every part they sell. More
The service department was very helpful and cross honored a coupon I had with another BMW dealership. My engine was shuttering and Bridgewater BMW was offering a free check engine light service. I called the service department, made an appointment for 8:30 am and left my car to have it checked out. At around a free check engine light service. I called the service department, made an appointment for 8:30 am and left my car to have it checked out. At around 3:30 I received a call and was told that my car was checked out and needed all new coils, new spark plugs and a new water pump. The cost would be approximately $3,000. I was then told of a host of other "issues" that need to be addressed as well and the total cost for that would be an additional $4,000. I told her my spark plugs were changed 70,000 miles ago and are supposed to be good for 105,000 miles. She said that's what happens when cars get old. I asked to pick up my car so I could make a decision. I contacted a local auto shop who told me to replace the spark plugs, coils and water pump would cost $1,500 (although he said the water pump has nothing to do with the problem I was experiencing), so I brought my car there. The other auto shop checked my vehicle's computer, found out there was a misfire on only one cylinder, there was nothing wrong with my spark plugs (he said they had another 35,000 miles to go), only one of my coils was bad and while my water pump was signalling issues on and off my car never overheated so it was probably just a sensor issue and wouldn't require replacement. I picked up my car after one coil was replaced by the local auto shop and my total bill was $165.00. My car drives perfectly. While I purchased my car from Hunterdon BMW, this experience is why I never went to them for service work and I hoped that their move to Bridgewater would change that but I guess that's too much to hope for. I would never go to them again nor would I recommend them to anyone. More
We had been to four BMW dealerships for pricing prior to going to Hunterdon; we live in Morris County. Not only was their pricing unbeatable for our new X3, but the entire process from looking to purchasin going to Hunterdon; we live in Morris County. Not only was their pricing unbeatable for our new X3, but the entire process from looking to purchasing to completing the deal was painless, enjoyable, friendly and actually joyful! At no point did I feel pressured or intimidated... actually if felt like having coffee with old friends. Mike Shamy and Chris Shamy are true Gentlemen and I recommend them without hesitation; they will remain our dealers for years to come. More
Hunterdon BMW is arguably the tri-County area's best kept secret as it relates to BMW Dealerships for sales. Their notoriety may be slightly handicapped by their remote present location, but this dealership secret as it relates to BMW Dealerships for sales. Their notoriety may be slightly handicapped by their remote present location, but this dealership provides a buying experience unparralleled by any of its more recognized competition. Although this was my first BMW purchase, I've purchased and leased many used and new luxury brand vehicles in my lifetime. As a result of some of those previous experiences, just the mere thought of entering a dealership can create feelings of angst and conjur up mental images of some cheeseball with a mouth full of chiclets telling me how good I look in a particular vehicle (yes, even "high end" brands have been perpetrators of this heinous cliche). I am, however, extremely please to declare that Hunterdon BMW has forever changed my opinion of the car buying experience, for the better. I had been waffling back and forth over two distinctly different models and had been in contact with a handful of local BMW dealerships while compiling research; prior to connecting with my Client Advisor, David Jones, at Hunterdon BMW. Dave was always prompt and courteous when fielding my calls and emails, before even meeting me in person, and then he patiently and enthusiastically answered all of my questions when I finally did walk onto the lot. Once we identified the exact car that I wanted, the negotiation was professional and pain free (it helped that, without question, Hunterdon BMW's advertised prices were already far more competitively priced than any of the other BMW dealerships that I shopped within 50 miles). The used car sales manager, Chris Rokosny, was both respectful and candid in providing me with an indisputably fair purchase price. The financing and paperwork transactions were efficient and the vehicle's delivery was executed flawlessley (literally, without even one minor oversight in any detail, which is practically unheard of in my opinion). Dave hopped into the car to walk me through the phone-pairing process, thoroughly explained all of the bells and whistles and demonstrated various features so that I could drive off having complete confidence in my ability to safely enjoy the car. I would emphatically recommend this dealership to anyone who is in the market for a new or used BMW. I sincerely believe that you would be doing yourself a disservice if you are even considering a BMW purchase in the near future and you do not visit the team at Hunterdon BMW. More

Mike was straightforward, upfront and honest with me right from the start. I am a Pharmaceutical Corporate Sales Professional and had very high expectations. Mike met and often exceeded these expectations. I was ready for some part of the Financial discussion to break down and it did not. I didn't even find it necessary to visit another dealership. However, I did visit the BMW USA website to look at all current offers. What I found was Mike, again, offered the deals upfront and there were no surprises in the Destination, Taxes, Security Deposit and all other associated fees. In addition to the Financial piece, Mike was wonderful in the post sale process. He went over the car and options thoroughly after I took delivery. Mike paired my Blackberry and pointed out the relative "buttons" until I could really "dig in" when I got home. I highly recommend Mike. I am new to the Dealership and have not had enough experience to rate it, but it seems like a very nice place for service. In addition, I would like to note that I have purchased new many cars and this was my best sales experience. I have owned a BMW previously as well, an Audi, Mazda Miata, Porsche and lastly a Mercedes. so I speak from a position of experience. Donna S. Hunterdon County, NJ More
I found the CPO i wanted, dealt with Scott, did the test drive, etc. Scott was very nice, no pressure in getting additional options, etc. Unfortunately Scott was out sick when I picked up my car so Patt drive, etc. Scott was very nice, no pressure in getting additional options, etc. Unfortunately Scott was out sick when I picked up my car so Patti took over. Did a final inspection and i gave her the check and off I go. The plates took a while but that was the fault of NYS slow registration. I did drive pretty far to get the car but it was everything I wanted. Thanks ! More
This is my first time to own a BMW. I did a lot of research about the car. I also did a lot of research on how to deal with sales and all that. My sales is Patti Oneal.
