This is the worst place ever to take your car! They said I requested brake fluid change and I did not. All I wanted was AC repair. They came up with all kinds of things to repair including a leaky head gasket. Went and got my car took to another mechanic and he said my head gasket was not leaking at all. Thank God for honest mechanics! Birmingham BMW is terrible! Don’t go here! More
I had both My BMW X5 and my BMW 528i repaired at this Service Department. One was in conjunction with a factory recall. Within a week, and with less than 100 miles driven after the initial repair, both Service Department. One was in conjunction with a factory recall. Within a week, and with less than 100 miles driven after the initial repair, both were back in the shop for another repair. Getting BMW of Birmingham Service Department on the phone was near impossible and took several call to get a human on the other end of the call. The moral of this story is this: As long as I own any BMW, it will never again darken the door of the BMW of Birmingham Service Department for ANY REASON!!!!!! More
Awful communication and service Purchased an extended warranty with my used vehicle purchase. Once I sold the vehicle I went into the dealership to cancel the warranty on the car th Purchased an extended warranty with my used vehicle purchase. Once I sold the vehicle I went into the dealership to cancel the warranty on the car that was sold. I signed all the paperwork with Ron Durler and was told the refund would process and be in the mail to me in 4-12 weeks. 6 months have passed and no refund as well as my old policy on the vehicle I sold is STILL active.. I have called the dealership numerous times and left numerous voicemails with no response or call back. I have left multiple voicemails with the GM Greg Rothfeldt that have not been returned as well. The dealership is more than glad to sell you the extended warranty but not willing to be responsible in canceling the extended warranty when the vehicle is sold. I am now having to pursue legal action against this dealership for the issues listed above all because someone can NOT do their job! I would not advise anyone to do business with BMW of Birmingham now or in the future. Buyers beware! More

No mention of the length of the time period was made at the time of purchase. I also discussed buying a new X5 last year and found the sales manager almost impossible to deal with, so I bought my new car elsewhere. My conclusion in dealing with BMW of Birmingham for several years is that they have a quality product, a dedicated and quality service team but it is unfortunately "Buyer Beware" in dealing with them. I'm choosing to take my business elsewhere in the future. More
Best in the business ! From start to finish treated my wife superb. A loaner was given just in case the maintenance / service due would take longer than a day. Our car was taken in and treated like new.(2014 328i). We were kept up to date numerous times and had ZERO problems getting scheduled. Service Department and Chris Score Again! Good job BMW Service team, especially Chris who took care of my 335i. I had bought some 19" wheels from a BMW CCA member and had new Michelin Pilot S Good job BMW Service team, especially Chris who took care of my 335i. I had bought some 19" wheels from a BMW CCA member and had new Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ tires installed at a Tire Engineers who used my TPMS sensors on the new wheels and tires. The 19" wheel/tire combo did not fit, so I have those sitting in the garage. Meanwhile the 335i didn't have TPMS sensors and the car was looking for them. I handed the 335i to my wife when I got a new BMW and I wanted her to have everything working so I asked Chris to replace the sensors and do an oil change. He got everything done for me and the car drives great! Thanks Chris and BMW of Birmingham! More

The service director David is a real beauty as he refused to honor my BMW FACTORY warranty since the car was certified pre-owned by another BMW dealer. What's even better is he took my keys after hearing about the issues my car was having, said he would take care of things, gave me a ride home with their shuttle service then proceeded to ignore phone calls/emails for updates for almost two days. He decided to pick up a phone somehow after two days go by almost to call and say he wasn't comfortable working on my car and I needed to take my car back to the BMW dealer I bought it at which is only 3.5 hours away. When asked why he was refusing to honor the warranty of BMW he said to take it up with BMW North America. Seriously, who does this? Save yourself the hassle and choose another BMW dealership. Just read the online reviews for this dealership regarding their service department and you'll see that the only reason this place gets any service work is because they have a monopoly on the Birmingham BMW market since they are the only BMW dealer in Alabama besides Huntsville, Montgomery and Mobile. In my opinion if you need superior quality service work with great pricing and customer service for a BMW outside of warranty look up Momentum Motorworks in Birmingham, Alabama. They're honest, have a sterling reputation in the BMW community and have great employees who actually care about your needs and concerns, More
