This is the worst place ever to take your car! They said I requested brake fluid change and I did not. All I wanted was AC repair. They came up with all kinds of things to repair including a leaky head gasket. Went and got my car took to another mechanic and he said my head gasket was not leaking at all. Thank God for honest mechanics! Birmingham BMW is terrible! Don’t go here! More
DISHONEST DEALER! Absolutely the worst car experience I’ve ever had bar none. Management does respond nor care when an issue is presented and refuse to communicate despite multiple attempts to do so through sales people & finance. Bought a vehicle that I was told would be serviced, body damage fixed and tires replaced. Despite writing on the initial WE OWE quick things I noticed and being told they were taking care of them during the paperwork, NONE WERE DONE. Have been mislead and flat out lied to by this dealer on multiple issues and should not have purchased a vehicle with them. The GM Klaeb even tells the staff he’s reaching out to resolve issues and despite MULTIPLE calls, texts for going on three weeks now he has never once reached out. BUYER BE WARE TAKE YOUR TIME & MONEY ELSEWHERE. More

Poor CPO Sales Experience-- Look Elsewhere! I attempted to purchase a CPO 5 series online as I live in Texas. I was dealing with Mercury Amadeus, a salesman at the dealership. I asked that I attempted to purchase a CPO 5 series online as I live in Texas. I was dealing with Mercury Amadeus, a salesman at the dealership. I asked that he send me a sales quote so I could see the final numbers. I stated that I was willing to fly from Dallas to Birmingham, the very next day to pick up the vehicle. Mercury failed to follow up with me in a timely manner. When he did, he added 2,000 in additional fees/service items to the quote. It really would take an act of God to be able to purchase a vehicle online from this dealership. I was speaking with them on a Monday through Wednesday. How many cars are they actually selling during this time? As a former Mercedes E class owner, this was my first experience with a BMW dealership as I was considering trying something different. Honestly, I felt unimportant to this dealership and that my time was not respected. This was totally due to my dealings with Mercury. For example, one email said I had to pay sales tax then the next email said I would not have to pay sales tax, etc.. just incompetent. Based upon my experience, I think I will probably return to purchasing a certified pre-owned Mercedes. More
I had both My BMW X5 and my BMW 528i repaired at this Service Department. One was in conjunction with a factory recall. Within a week, and with less than 100 miles driven after the initial repair, both Service Department. One was in conjunction with a factory recall. Within a week, and with less than 100 miles driven after the initial repair, both were back in the shop for another repair. Getting BMW of Birmingham Service Department on the phone was near impossible and took several call to get a human on the other end of the call. The moral of this story is this: As long as I own any BMW, it will never again darken the door of the BMW of Birmingham Service Department for ANY REASON!!!!!! More
Awful communication and service Purchased an extended warranty with my used vehicle purchase. Once I sold the vehicle I went into the dealership to cancel the warranty on the car that was sold. I signed all the paperwork with Ron Durler and was told the refund would process and be in the mail to me in 4-12 weeks. 6 months have passed and no refund as well as my old policy on the vehicle I sold is STILL active.. I have called the dealership numerous times and left numerous voicemails with no response or call back. I have left multiple voicemails with the GM Greg Rothfeldt that have not been returned as well. The dealership is more than glad to sell you the extended warranty but not willing to be responsible in canceling the extended warranty when the vehicle is sold. I am now having to pursue legal action against this dealership for the issues listed above all because someone can NOT do their job! I would not advise anyone to do business with BMW of Birmingham now or in the future. Buyers beware! More
Disappointed to say the least Purchased a CPO BMW 328i. Traveled from TX to pay and pick up the car. A Simple transaction all cash transaction. All relevant information completed online before traveling to AL. Arrived at the dealership. The car was ready, the sales person was ready. The finance director was not ready. No paper work no title, Nothing is ready. After waiting for about 2 hours, Mr. Duller, the finance director, attempted to sell me a bunch of overpriced extras for no particular reason. Three hours later the paperwork was completed but no title. Mr. Duller promised to FedEx the documents and title to my TX address within a day. It took more than 2 months to finally get the package. Mr. Duller did not return voice mail or emails ever. I had to call the general manager to get things moving and finally register the car in TX. The car tool set was missing a couple of tools. Emailing and calling did help. No post sale follow-up and no reply to communication. All in all, happy with the car, but disappointed by the dealership. With more that 40 years of buying cars, it was the worst experience by far thanks to Mr. Ron Duller. More

I also discussed buying a new X5 last year and found the sales manager almost impossible to deal with, so I bought my new car elsewhere. My conclusion in dealing with BMW of Birmingham for several years is that they have a quality product, a dedicated and quality service team but it is unfortunately "Buyer Beware" in dealing with them. I'm choosing to take my business elsewhere in the future. More
