The Genius experience I recently met with Michael Matkosky at BMW of Birmingham for a "Genius" session for my new 328i. Besides possessing a radio voice, Michael also know I recently met with Michael Matkosky at BMW of Birmingham for a "Genius" session for my new 328i. Besides possessing a radio voice, Michael also knows this vehicle's systems like the back of his hand. I actually retained a good bit of what he demonstrated. Glad I made the time to do this. One more thing, Michael knows his music. More
Service Department Very Helpful; Sales Not So Much Service advisor Chris Teal took care of our car with the service one would expect from a luxury car dealership. Helpful all the way. Chris Ragland, the tire expert advisor, fought for us in a dispute over tires. Bought 2011 528i in June 2016 as CPO. Was told they were going to put new "tires" on the car before delivery. Had a bad coil and had car towed to BMW dealer in Pensacola. Service called and said three of four tires were down to the wear bars. We only put 7,500 miles on the car in that time. Chris Ragland needed to see tires to be able to help us. In the meantime, the oil level sensor had stopped working. Took car to Birmingham and turned it over to the Teal and Ragland. Lo and behold, when we bought the car, the dealership had only put two new tires on the car instead of four. 99.9 percent of the human race understands that "new tires" means FOUR tires. Continental finally agreed to pay half for two replacement tires after much wrangling from Ragland. After Teal and his technicians replaced the DME, our other issues with the car were solved. Finally had to make salesman Larry Carpenter mad before the sales side would do the right things and cover the remainder of the cost for the two tires. That should have been done without hesitation instead of me having to pitch a hissy fit to get something done. I expect that from Joe Blow's Used Cars, not from a BMW dealership. Be sure to get everything they promise to do your car in writing before you sign the dotted line. I can't say enough about the quality of service we got from Teal and Ragland. Very happy with those two. More

At first it seemed the dealership was too busy to offer me the kind of service attention I needed. Over time I have met several people who have gone above and beyond to give me information, service, and a friendly smile. These employees are Sherry Frady, Chris Ragland, and Michael Mathews, and my service rep Scott Sterling. The dealership does a lot of volume. These staff members take great pride in their work. When given the opportunity, they will provide each customer with the best service. Its the volume not the intention that gets in the way. More
BMW GENIUS Alison Argall was very knowledgeable about the X1. She made sure I knew all the features before I left.
