Former car was a peppy 2-door hard top c I bot a 2014 ORANGE X1 with 16.8K miles. This is likely the only SUV/SAV that I'd be willing to be seen in. Former car was a peppy 2-door hard top convertible... well worn. So I'm no spring chicken and I've bot cars (mostly Mercedes, but also Ford, VW, Toyota) in California, Virginia and now Maryland. I've had some not so great experiences: bad tires, bad battery, things that go wrong less than a month after owning the car.... and of course I raised these issues with Jason and the team at Belair BMW... they were so cute... they said, "I don't know what kinds of cars you've had in the past but... This is a BMW dealership!!" I found the car online at 2pm, left DC for Bel Air at 5:30pm and owned it at 9pm on the same day. I knew what I wanted. They stayed open late for me and acted as if they really cared for me (I don't think it was an act.) Unusual experience. They seemed to respect my ability to think things thru once I had all the information / data (e.g., the value of my trade in). They didn't talk while I figured things out. Because it was so late, the 2nd key wasn't available. They offered to meet me at a Park and Ride off of I-95 during my drive up to New Jersey the next day... they made every effort to make the purchase easy for me. I think the staff have learned / been trained to assess the person they're dealing with and meet that person where they are... if you need salesmanship, you'll get salesmanship; if you need a car nut, you'll get a car nut; if you need respect, you'll get respect; if you need a gentle push, you'll get some kind encouragement. Good job, guys ! And thanks for putting me in a really cool car ! More

Purchase of new BMW with Jason Ruzek I met with Jason Ruzek about 1 week prior to getting my 2018 M4. He answered all questions in detail. I told him the car I wanted. We found the car and within a day it was at the Bel Air BMW dealership. What a wonderful surprise for Jason to email me pictures of the car when it arrived and I was able to pick it up one week prior to what we thought. Jason made the experience wonderful. This dealership has always treated me as a valued customer during the many years of taking my car there for service. Everyone is always extremely professional, friendly and helpful. I met Fran Meyers last year and had expressed my interest in buying a new car. However, I was not ready at that time, but told Fran that I would come to him when I was ready to start looking. He was very respectful and did not pressure me at all, but said that he would be there to help when I was ready. This was exactly the reason that when I was ready to purchase my new car I called Fran directly and told him that I was ready to start the process. Fran was terrific to work with and when we couldn't find a car that had everything that I was looking for, Fran helped "build" my new car and placed the order with the factory. There was a time period when it looked like I might not get my car, through no fault of BMW of Bel Air, but Fran persevered.
