STEER CLEAR OF THIS SHADY DEALERSHIP I've bought several new vehicles, and my experience at Bel Air BMW has been my worst experience to date. On the day of the purchase, the finance department in several new vehicles, and my experience at Bel Air BMW has been my worst experience to date. On the day of the purchase, the finance department indicated that the vehicle was not eligible for the BMW incentive rate of 3.49. This rate was already discussed with the manager prior to my arrival (which was a 2 hour drive). Also, despite me showing the finance manager various screenshots of other dealerships listing the promo right on their website. It wasn't until I walked outside that all of a sudden their system was showing the correct rate. We all know what actually happened here. That was just a massive annoyance that only ruined what should have been an enjoyable experience purchasing my very first brand new BMW (no big deal). Now I'm dealing with a larger issue which is the fact that the dealership screwed up various parts of my paperwork. They reached out to me three different times to sign documents that should have been signed when I was in there. Now, I am 45 days post purchase, and I still have no received my license plate from PennDOT, and I have to assume it is because the dealer also screwed that paperwork up. To make it even worse, the sales person is straight up lying about the situation. The most recent document they needed signed and overnighted to them was something they needed to get my registration taken care of. I know this is a lie, because the form they asked me to sign is for a dealership in another state, so it is related to the sale of the vehicle I traded in, and nothing to do with the registration of my vehicle. It's actually pretty funny how responsive they are when they need something from me, but completely ignore me when I need something. I emailed both managers at this scummy dealerships and left a message with the GM, to no avail. I also have reached out to BMW corporate, which I am sure will do nothing, because dealerships all govern themselves which is why so many of them have no ethics and terrible customer service. I held off on leaving a review, assuming they'd take care of me, but I'm tired of being lied to. More
Never again. My sales person, Jason, was easy to work with. After buying so many cars, it did not bother me that he was not much of a talker. HOWEVER, the finance person, Alex, did not explain anything to me, had me sign everything in silence on an iPad. I’ve never experienced someone who did not speak a word or explain any of the majorly important financial documents. Thankfully, I’ve bought many cars in my past and also know how to read. He was also extremely slow. If you are new or confused, simply state that. For the week following my purchase, I had 2 holds for my down payment which was a large amount that the dealership was not able to take care of. I called multiple times to have the ‘hold’ of money cleared as it was under BMW, and no one could help me. It eventually cleared after 6 days. This current week I called the finance person,Alex, to sent over an emailed version of my installment agreement so I could refinance my vehicle. He says, sure. It never came though. I called twice and left voicemails for someone to help me…no return call. Today, as I call to see when my title would arrive as the refinance group needs it to close out the current loan, the MVA advised me the paperwork was not processed until April 22, 2024…16 days after my purchase. The title is not even created yet as of May 1, 2024. I will not even bother to call and ask why, as no one has been able to help me with the several other issues I’ve incurred in the last month. Save yourself a headache and buy from somewhere that can assure help when and if you need it. More
I have nothing but great things to say about BMW of Bel Air- specifically the service department. There was an issue with the programming of my new key, and although it took a some time they were able to Air- specifically the service department. There was an issue with the programming of my new key, and although it took a some time they were able to figure out why. They kept me posted with updates and price points regularly, made a video outlining what the repair was and how it was completed ,and advised what services I would need to take care of next. No one likes to get their car serviced, but at BMW of Bel Air they sure as xxxx make you feel a lot better about it. More
