The Ultimate Driving Machine used to be my favorite brand. During the past few years I've owned a Z3 Roadster, a 328i and a M3 and I loved them all. My latest lease is a 2020 BMW 330i xDrive (Vin# 3 brand. During the past few years I've owned a Z3 Roadster, a 328i and a M3 and I loved them all. My latest lease is a 2020 BMW 330i xDrive (Vin# 3MW5R7J02L8B15628) from Bayside BMW and have been taking it in for routine services regularly. The car currently has 26K miles and NO DAMAGES. I've kept it in prestine condition with the intention of purchasing it at lease-end for my kids. During the past two years, the CHECK ENGINE light has came on 2~3 times where it needed dealer service to correct the issues. Last week, I brought the car in to Bayside BMW's service center for a routine maintenance and another CHECK ENGINE light issue. Later the same day a technician sent me an inspection video showing me the CHECK ENGINE light was on because of a problem with the radiator block, and the technician specifically said it was due to a frontal collision. I was baffled because the car was never in any accident and it has no dents anywhere! I was told this is NOT covered under warranty and was quoted about $1700 for the repair. I wanted to see the frontal damage in person so I declined authorization to this repair. When I went to pick up the vehicle today, I was left waiting for about 2 hours before it was brought to me and I saw NO VISIBLE DAMAGE anywhere. I asked the technician to show me where the frontal damage that caused the radiator block problem and he first told me someone probably hit my front bumper to which I replied "shouldn't there be a visible damage if that was the case?" He then changed the story and said it is possible that a small pebble on a highway hit the front grill and caused the internal damage. WHAT THE HECK... When did BMW start making their cars out of paper?!?! Whatever the reasoning he tried to give me, he was adamant it was not an issue covered under the warranty and insisted I contact corporate to resolve this problem. I went online to check and saw many other BMW owners sharing stores of the same problem. You bet I will definitely be contacting BMW corporate and others about this problem! I have decided I no longer want to purchase this lemon of a vehicle at lease-end, and I will never lease or purchase another BMW ever again unless I receive a satisfactory remedy from BMW. Unless Bayside BMW repairs this problem under warranty coverage, I will not pay a penny to repair this problem out of pocket. Should BMW Finaicial try to collect from me at lease-end because the CHECK ENGINE light is on, I will fight it tooth and nail in court! This is my first complaint regarding this particular issue. My next steps will be videos documenting this problem to be shared online. Afterwards, I will make two big signs about this problem and display them on the front and back of this lemon while parking it in front of Bayside BMW. I am utterly disgusted by this entire experience and disappointed by how Bayside BMW handled it by trying to scam their customers. More
