Dear Genevieve, We are sorry that you suffered a significant collision event with your BMW vehicle. As you carefully noted in your review, we are not a body shop and your car was referred to Mid-Island Collision for the repairs. Your insurance company made multiple visits to inspect additional damage found during the course of the repairs and some of the parts required were sourced out of Germany and required shipment and US Customs inspection adding to the delays. We do not own, or have any other affiliation to Mid Island Collision other than referrals. We utilize this shop for their exceptional work, and high post repair satisfaction with our customers. They are not the fastest shop in town, they put quality over speed. And in our brief phone call recently you commented that the work was "good". And that's what counts the most. Not unlike any other Manufacturer, BMWNA and BMWAG do not imply financial relief for an accident (collision) caused by you or another driver at fault. The expectation that they, or we would pay for your lease while the vehicle was in for said repairs is unreasonable. We are happy that Manhattan has been able to satisfy your needs on previous visits for routine maintenance and repairs. I'm certain if your car was brought here for similar needs your visit would have gone much smoother. I realize that having an accident is a traumatic experience and I'm sensitive to you needing your vehicle back as soon as possible as the rental car was certainly not the BMW you are accustomed to driving. On behalf of all our staff here, we apologize that this accident repair event did not meet your satisfaction in terms of financial support. Kind Regards, Doug
