Bakersfield BMW kept my 528e for a week-and-a-half to perform minimal work and couldn't even find the time to install a new license plate from which I left on the front passenger seat. No one has ever bo perform minimal work and couldn't even find the time to install a new license plate from which I left on the front passenger seat. No one has ever bothered to tell me why the delay despite my voicemail messages. Nikki, my "Service Advisor", in particular, needs to find another line of work. More
Horrible experience thus far. All i have to say is: don't associate the BMW name with this dealership. BMWs are amazing; I'm on my third. The Sales person was great, but did not give a true representation of associate the BMW name with this dealership. BMWs are amazing; I'm on my third. The Sales person was great, but did not give a true representation of the condition of the car. I put a deposit down long distance, flew out and test drove the car. Take ALL day if you have to, because what they tell you definitely isn't the case. The repairs the car needs exceed $2000 and they are not willing the help; even though they gave me a 'warranty'! They know I'm not going to be back any time soon (1000mi away) so they think they can get away with it. Didn't think to check the Bluetooth that Mike G. said worked, turns out the TCU is bad and needs to be replaced. Both exterior mirrors need new mirror assemblies ($650 each!), I've paid less for complete engines. Bluetooth and folding, heated, rotating mirrors were listed as options. I'm pretty sure that's illegal, false advertising at the very least; fraudulent for sure. I can't wait to see what my lawyer thinks about all of it. When i put the car in reverse, the passenger mirror freaks out and rotates up and down constantly until back in drive. More annoying things than anything at this point. I was told it was a one owner vehicle that was just traded in. Later they sent me paperwork stating it was used as a loaner vehicle?? Great, can't wait to see how a 4.8is responds later in life to being driven as a loaner. So disheartening that someone would misrepresent and basically lie directly to my face. The story Mike told about nobody being able to touch or put miles on 4.8's is now just hillarious. Seriously? Wow. Funny that as soon as i hit rain, I realized both wiper blades were shredded. Seriously!? Warranty blades cost less than $2 for them. Definitely didn't receive an oil change, and no chance of checking for service bulletins. All they are focused on is pushing inventory. Once the deal has been made, warranty or not, they forget about you. I tried being composed and polite. I took the vehicle to Co's BMW and paid for a diagnostic on some of the issues I was experiencing. Sent the BMW R/O (service paperwork) to BMW Bakersfield and basically got a run around for 6 weeks. Not answering or returning calls or emails. Finally getting word back saying only: 'sorry, you're screwed". So much for warranties, at least I have documented proof 1000mi after the purchase. It will definitely be interesting to pursue this. If you're looking for a BMW, awesome. But don't get it from here. I've had better success with BMW Newport, and Co's BMW in Colorado is awesome. If you're local to Bakersfield, you may have better luck holding them to their word. More
Took my 745LI in for service it was 10 days new. When I got it out of the service dept it had scratches in the paint down the passenger ise and back bumper. The service dept was rude when I took the car ba got it out of the service dept it had scratches in the paint down the passenger ise and back bumper. The service dept was rude when I took the car back to them the next day to fix it. They did not paint it properly and when I told them that it was not satisfactory they asked me to take the car to another dealer. More
This must be the worst BMW service dealership I have ever been to. I took my car in for regular maintenance to get the water pump and thermostat replaced. Car worked fine for about 3 months, then over heat been to. I took my car in for regular maintenance to get the water pump and thermostat replaced. Car worked fine for about 3 months, then over heated. To make a long story short, the thermostat they replaced was defective, and they said that the overheating issue was not caused by that. Basically the car blew a head gasket and they would not take responsibility. I had to call the BAR, who did an investigation, and had them replace my motor, after some serious arguing. BMW even wanted to charge me for a mistake that THEY did. When they replaced the motor, I took it to an independent BMW repair shop to evaluate the work. They said everything was done sloppy and unprofessional. More

Only a few people were nice to deal with but the rest of the staff was awful! I bought my first used BMW here and i have to say i wont ever return. I don't make a whole lot of money, i expected a whole lo the staff was awful! I bought my first used BMW here and i have to say i wont ever return. I don't make a whole lot of money, i expected a whole lot more than what i recieved from sales. They failed to tell me what my warrenty covered and that my MP warrenty was up 6 months ago and to also tell me that my car had major problems in the past! Now only after a month i have brake problems and im going to get charged $600 to replace them. I'm 22 years old, I work two jobs and thought that i would treat myself for working hard to a BMW and i get this kind of treatment? Never again. More
Brought in my car for a scheduled oil service. At the time I was being checked in I mentioned the weatherstriping on the driver door was torn. This repair was approved for warranty and added to the order time I was being checked in I mentioned the weatherstriping on the driver door was torn. I have a new 545 on order through this dealer because of past positive experiences. More
