Avoid Brian Giroux!! Ask for any other sales representative Never in my life did I think I would be writing a negative review of BMW of Austin. I am a long time loyal customer of BMW of Austin. Along with my fa Never in my life did I think I would be writing a negative review of BMW of Austin. I am a long time loyal customer of BMW of Austin. Along with my family being an even longer loyal customer. Our normal sales guy was Jeff Reeves, I was deeply saddened when I found out he was no longer employed there. My father went in for routine maintenance for his car and was checking out some of the used vehicles on the lot and ran into Javier Moulini (apologizes if I spelled his name incorrectly). My dad relayed the message to me that Javier was to be "our guy" since Mr. Reeves was no longer with the company. My friend who recently returned from deployment contacted me saying he was in the market for a vehicle and was interested in a BMW himself. BMW came to mind quickly because I have always been treated with top notch service from sales, to service to general inquiries. However, when my friends and I went in Javier was quick to his feet and was very inviting. He let us test drive a car and gave us the 5 star over top service that I was used to. However, when my friend and I returned from the test drive I was passed along to Brian Giroux (internet sales- because I had asked what price a vehicle was, that was posted on the website). I asked Javier if we could continue to work with him and I did not want to be transferred to this other representative, as he did not really do anything for me in regards to " a sale". Unfortunately, I was passed to Brian. Let me tell you this is where my experience went downhill very quickly. Honestly who opens with "I am the #1 sales person in the US" [I have a feeling he's #1 in sales because he's internet based. Touches the customer once by saying hello and automatically its "his customer"]. He continued to say how he owned two other pizza businesses and didn't really need this job, but he likes cars so that's why he was working there. Honestly that left me with the most sour taste in my mouth. Brian continues to treat me like a female who doesn't know anything about cars or the industry. Brian quickly figures out that I actually know a lot about all the BMW models and retracted. He turns the conversation to him. Literally would not stop talking about himself. He took no interest in what my friend or I did and was extremely arrogant about everything. Brian then tries to talk to us about financing and starts quoting us in the 4.65% range. We tell him we already have financing just need a vehicle and is shocked that we are actually prepared to make a purchase. My friend and I look younger than we are, and it was pretty obvious that he came to that conclusion as well. He showed us some other vehicles online because we had a budget that we needed to stick to. We found a few that we wanted to test drive. We asked to see the carfax before looking at them. One came back with one minor accident that was cosmetic damages. He continued to tell us that it was just surface scratches that they could buff out. When we went to the lot to look at it we noticed immediately that it was not minor surface scratches that could be buffed out, it was actual damage to the vehicle. (my assumption the bumper would need to be replaced among other things). He tried to "smoothly" talk himself out of that one and failed. The next car he showed us, he said, was in pristine condition, again this car was not. If it wasn't for my friend testing literally all the buttons in the car we wouldn't have found out that the sunroof covering was broken. So the car was far less then his "pristine" condition he said it was in. Overall, the experience was a really shady, and I felt so much dishonesty. I understand used vehicles have normal wear, but the vehicles shown were not "basically like new" or in "pristine" condition. However, you could tell all he wanted was the sale. We ended up buying a vehicle there because my friend needed to get a vehicle that day. However, I wish the sale could have gone to someone who deserved it and who I WANTED to work with. As I stated before Brian did nothing to deserve my business. He didn't leave a lasting impression on me and there was a reason I did NOT ask for him when I went to the BMW store in person. There was a reason I asked for Javier Moulini. I, as the customer should have had the right to stay with Javier and not been transferred to the god awful experience I had to endure with Brian Giroux. So for those who are looking to purchase a vehicle online DO NOT USE BMW of Austin internet inquiry you may get stuck with Brian and will immediately regret it. If he's the one that responds to you say never mind and just go in and ask for Javier Moulini or ANY other sales representative because I don't want anyone else to endure what my friend and I had to. No one should have to deal with that type of sales guy. Perhaps Brian should focus on his two "successful" pizza companies instead. More
