If you're in the market for a new BMW, I highly advise you look no further than Client Advisor Mike Hanaway and General Sales Manager Jim Polito at BMW of Austin. When I began my luxury car shopping experience, I was looking for more than just a vehicle that satisfied my checklist; hoping this to be my first of many BMWs, I was looking for a salesperson and dealership I could trust to guide me and be responsive through the build and purchase process, a team that wouldn't pressure me on an expensive decision, a team that gave sound advice and a fair market deal, and a team I felt I could turn to should something go wrong. So far, Mike, Jim, and BMW of Austin have over-delivered across the board (as has the vehicle!). From the moment I reached out to Mike Hanaway, he was responsive but never pushy. He took me on a test drive of the 2024 X5 that encouraged and allowed me to experience all the vehicle had to offer all the while patiently answering my questions. When my wife and toddler dropped in unannounced on the last Saturday of the month (I'm sure we were his least favorite prospective customers that month) Mike handed us the keys and encouraged us to get to know the X5 as a family without him; this allowed my nervous wife to experience the vehicle without feeling like a salesperson was "watching her" and led her to prefer the vehicle over others. I'd done my research on price; Mike offered a fair deal from the start on the vehicle that prevented an exhausting negotiation, gave me selfless advice on the build process even if it resulted in a lower MSRP for BMW, and communicated updates along the way. To be clear, the transaction wasn't flawless. For example, the day after I drove off the lot I realized that my deposit hadn't been applied to the transaction (I forgot, too). But Mike and GSM Jim Polito immediately acknowledged and took ownership of the issue, remedied the transaction, and followed up with me to make sure I had updates and saw the funds applied. To me, how a dealership operates when something "goes wrong" speaks more to their character and integrity than when everything goes perfectly in the first place. I'm very much looking forward to purchasing my next BMW from BMW of Austin, but I'm loving the 2024 X5 in the meantime. More

After months of research, and finally going with Consumer Reports highest rating for a "luxury SUV", I decided to look into getting a 2024 BMW X5. I filled out the website "build you own vehicle" form, and clicked on the Request a Quote button. I rather quickly received a response, so I setup an appointment to take one for a test drive. Larry Stenson greeted me warmly, and copied my drivers license, and away I went - on my own. After a 45 minute test drive, I told Larry that I was very impressed with the X5, and so we sat down and went through the online configurator to have it made exactly how I wanted it to be. He told me exactly how much the vehicle would cost, and gave me a (very accurate) prediction on the date that I would be able to get it. After that, I said OK, let's order it. He even had my Acura appraised for a trade-in - which was very close to what Edmunds.com said it should be. Once he did that, he told me that he would be retiring the very next day - but not to worry, an experienced salesperson would take over. Mike Hanaway became my salesperson, and he did a very nice job of keeping me informed all along the way of the vehicle being manufactured, delivered, and having the ceramic coating applied to the vehicle (an option that I specifically wanted) before I made it into the dealership to pick it up. The "finance guy", Jeff Phillips, went over the extended warranty options, the maintenance options, wheel and tire policies, etc. and I chose the ones that I wanted, and there was no pressure to purchase the ones that I wasn't interested in. After that, Armani, one of the BMW Geniuses went over the vehicle controls with me, and setup my iPhone for Apple CarPlay for me. He was not rushing through the answers to the many questions that I had. So, I dealt with 4 different people at BMW of Austin during the purchase process for my 2024 BMW X5 xDrive40i. They were all very easy to deal with, and were all very professional. The vehicle now has 220 miles on it, and I have not had anything on it that needs to be "fixed from the factory". I learn a little bit more about the operation of my X5 every day, and I also like it much more than I ever thought that I would. More

Found a new vehicle that we liked on the BMW of Austin website that was comparable to a new Audi we were looking at. Decided to go with the BMW but only after we drove it off the lot, we found out that so website that was comparable to a new Audi we were looking at. Decided to go with the BMW but only after we drove it off the lot, we found out that some of the features listed on the website were not actually on the vehicle. If we had know this, we would have probably went with the Audi, a lesson learned by me. My advice to any potential customers, ensure you align with the dealer on all features listed, as apparently it is a BMW.com issue and not BMW of Austin, so nothing can be done about it. I would recommend BMW of Austin due to Mike Hanaway, he was a pleasure to work with during the purchase. More
