I can’t say enough good things about BMW of Atlantic City and especially my service advisor, Scott Petrus. From start to finish, Scott went above and beyond to turn what could have been a nightmare warranty and especially my service advisor, Scott Petrus. From start to finish, Scott went above and beyond to turn what could have been a nightmare warranty situation into an absolutely outstanding experience. When my third-party warranty company failed to step up, Scott and the team didn’t just give up — they did their due diligence, dug into the issue, and worked directly with BMW USA to get my parts covered under the emissions warranty. That level of effort and advocacy is something you just don’t see often in the auto industry anymore. Scott kept me informed through every step, explained everything clearly, and made sure the work was handled with precision and care. If you want a service department that actually fights for their customers, this is the place to go. Ask for Scott Petrus — he’s knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely cares about his clients. I brought my 2016 BMW 328i to BMW of Atlantic City for a simple oil change before a long road trip. Even though it was an expensive repair I wasn’t prepared for, I approved it because I needed the car for work and trusted their expertise. They returned the vehicle saying it “passed with flying colors.” Halfway through my trip, my check engine light came on and I smelled burning oil. When I stopped, the engine bay was covered in oil. A BMW dealership in Massachusetts confirmed that BMW of Atlantic City had failed to replace a crucial gasket during reassembly—causing oil and fuel to mix in my engine over 500 miles of driving. I was stranded out of state for four days, racking up expenses, stress, and time away from work. Despite clear negligence, the service director, Stanwood Martin, offered only a token refund and a dealership gift card—as if I’d ever trust them with my vehicle again. BMW of Atlantic City has shown zero accountability and no regard for customer safety, time, or the BMW brand they represent. Do not bring your vehicle here for service. Buyer beware—once they have your money, their commitment to quality and customer care ends immediately. Take your business elsewhere. - James F. More
