First off, my sales experience with the dealership was second to none. Andreas took care of us and immediately addressed my needs for an X5. He quickly kept in touch with me and transparently, clearly and competently advised me of my options. He met with us promptly, dealt with my trade in and worked with his manager on working out a great deal that I really appreciated. The plan from there was very straightforward — leave a deposit and pick up the car when it’s ready. This whole experience took an immediate unfortunate turn when I sat down with the finance team member (Lorenzo, I believe) to complete the transaction. First off, before reviewing the deal as set up and completed by the sales team, or even just saying hello and introducing, he went straight into selling the add-ins and warranty. This throws off the whole experience because the customer cannot find a baseline from the last mention of numbers — and I’m just thrown off by a new inflated monthly payment number. As we were talking through the warranty package (which I was almost ready to purchase), I noticed, by chance, that the interest rate was really high at 3.99%, especially compared to today’s average rates. Also, the deal was originally quoted on a 2.49% rate. This immediately started my suspicion that this was just a simple mistake so I asked him to please ask around if this 3.99% was actually correct, and Lorenzo returned with, “this is the best we can give you.” I then asked him again why it would be so high if I am okay with a 60-month and my credit/financial debt:income is okay. Lorenzo assured my finances/credit were just fine on his end but this was the best you all can do. I then mentioned to him that BMWFS has offers online for rates as low as 0.9% with 3 months no payments and asked why I wouldn’t be offered any of these. He said I just didn’t qualify but couldn’t give me a reason why. This is when I started getting very frustrated because I couldn’t find a logical reason — and he couldn’t tell me a logical reason — why I wouldn’t be offered this deal straight from BMWFS. Naturally, this is when I started to wonder why I wouldn’t be offered something that I financially qualify for. I asked him to please ask his manager again to check on a lower rate. This is when Lorenzo returned with a 2.99% rate. I again asked him to please provide me with what BMW is quoting on your website for the exact car I’m buying, at the very minimum. I showed him the rate again, this time specifically pointing out my exact model and trim. At this point, I was practically pleading with him to just please give me the rate I qualify for. He was visibly annoyed now and went to his manager again. This time, he returned and said “sure, we’ll do it” and went straight to his computer to provide the 1.9% rate. It was obvious that he was upset that he was giving me this rate and it felt like he was doing me some sort of favor. I really don’t know why I had to plead with a BMW rep to give me a rate from BMWFS, that I qualify for. I also called around to a few different dealerships afterwards who assured me that I could have qualified for the 0.9 rate with the 3 months no payment. This is really disappointing. I've purchased so many cars over the years, and I have never had an experience like this where I feel like I got cheated. I'm new to the area, and have purchased 3 cars since moving here and all those dealerships have operated with honesty and integrity so far, and I am really surprised to have had this experience with BMW Arlington. More

Best transaction ever from beginning to end when I called Desmon from NC, although the BMW dealer was in Texas, he gave me top dollar for my trade, and shipped my new car & picked up my trade within days!!! BMW of Arlington is the most pleasant car service provider I’ve dealt with over my 40 years of driving. They are usually pretty close on both time and cost estimates. The waiting area is pleasant, with free WiFi and cappuccino. I appreciate that they provide a Lyft to take me home and bring me back if my car stays overnight. And I love driving away every time in a freshly-washed car. More
