I need to contrast my experiences with BMW of Arlington with BMW of Grapevine.... Grapevine is WAY closer to home. I took your SUV there THREE times for the same repair. Over the course of about three m with BMW of Grapevine.... Grapevine is WAY closer to home. I took your SUV there THREE times for the same repair. Over the course of about three months, they had possession of my car for more than a month total. Each time they "fixed" the car, I drove away and the same problem recurred. Total cost: about $15k. After the third "fix," the problem returned th very next morning. I decided I needed another dealer. But Grapevine is in the Sewell family, and all of the close dealerships were also. So I went all the way to Arlington, dropping it off on a Friday. They diagnosed the problem the same day and hit provided an estimate of about $3,600. On Saturday, I approved the repair. On Monday, the car was ready. Except, when I went to pay, they had revised the price to less than HALF of the estimate: $1,700. So, the actual cost of the repair was about one-ninth of what Grapevine charged, and they had the car ready the next day after I approved the repair instead of the weeks and weeks I was neglected at Grapevine. Part of the service was to have the rear brake pads replaced as noted by the Service Due. Car was taken in on Thursday and returned on Friday. On Saturday my brake light came on with the same Service D replaced as noted by the Service Due. Car was taken in on Thursday and returned on Friday. On Saturday my brake light came on with the same Service Due on my rear brake pads. I called BMW of Arlington for another appointment to fix the problem. I’m scheduled to return my vehicle on Tuesday. Also, a wet cleaning rag and a soda bottle was left in my car when I picked it up. Sincerely More
I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff, the Advisor which was wonderful! I came in for the 39.99 Oil Change special in which BMW sent me the email and then in return I had to show Jeff the email to validate whic wonderful! I came in for the 39.99 Oil Change special in which BMW sent me the email and then in return I had to show Jeff the email to validate which was ridiculous to me. So, I do know that they are in the business of making money so instead I ended up with spending $302 plus as I took a look at the receipt I got a misc. Charge of $24 not explaining what it was on the receipt. Anyway, Jeff stated that the things to get completed an oil change, bleeding of the brakes and replace a microfilter would take 2 hours. My appointment was for 8 am and I was there at 8 am and Jeff checked me in at 8:05 am. I did not leave until 11:30 am, 3 plus hours almost 4. While I am sitting there, the mechanics came in and got lunch from the assuming lunch area. Really frustated me as I know for a fact, to change the oil only takes all of 10-15 minutes, to put a filter in what 10 minutes and bleed the brakes I would go on a limb and give 30 minutes. Now why was I there for almost 4 hours, I have no idea. The manager finally went out and brought my car to me. I have been having both of my BMW's serviced here for over 12 years. The service here is not getting any better here. As I stated, Jeff did an amazing job but the wait time and the constant push to do other things to your vehicle is absurd! More
