My name is Bill Stoeckel, General Manager. I just returned from vacation, and I read your review yesterday. My apologies for the situation you experienced. We do not intentionally misrepresent our products or services. Sometimes human error does occur, as I found it did in this case with the pricing of the car in which you were interested. After speaking with all parties, I learned that Matt did the right thing and offered to sell the car to you at the incorrect advertised lower price . For this reason, he sent you documents needed to move forward with the sale. According to your comments, and what Matt told me, you still wanted to speak with the used car manager Gary Albanese. He did not return the call and I will be speaking with him about this later today. We were short handed, and I can give him some consideration for thinking the Salesperson Matt was handling everything as he and Joe Grazer the other Sales Manager were both covering for a temporary shortage of personnel, but still you deserved a return call. Not returning your call is not the customer service we expect from our employees or managers. Joe Grazer did call and speak to you, but by that time another customer had placed a deposit on the car you were interested in purchasing. Our policy is that any car without a deposit is available for sale. This policy is necessary because in our experience, it is the only way to know we have commitment from a customer. This prevents us from denying another interested customer the opportunity to purchase the car. We appreciate how the situation created a disappointing experience for you. I hope upon further reflection, you can understand that we were not trying to be dishonest with you. I assure you there was no intent to be unethical as I believe both Matt and Joe explained the situation to you. Matt also agreed to sell you this car at the incorrect price listed. His emails reflect this offer. You spotted the opportunity with the way the car was priced on-line which drew you to a more distant location. It generated interest from other customers also, and timing did not work in your favor. I apologize that you are disappointed, but ethics were not intentionally breached when Matt offered to sell you the car at the advertised price. We don't get many used 4 series convertibles traded, so Matt is watching for another car that might be of interest to you, but we can't say when the next one will become available. We simply don't know. I recommend you look on BMWUSA.com under Certified Pre-Owned as you can search all BMW dealer's inventories by name location, or distance. This may expediate your search. Matt will still keep his eye out for your desired car. Your comments on your review concern me, and as General Manager, I ask you to consider modifying the accusations as I hope with further reflection you will see that unethical behavior and lying were not part of this situation in any intentional form. I completely understand your disappointment. I only ask that you be fair in your comments. Also, you tagged Joe Millington by accident but that is not the Joe you spoke with, If you would be so kind to correct the tag, the person you spoke with was Joe Grazer. If you review our other reviews, I hope you will see that we are a well respected dealer that does not stoop to unethical business practices. Please be assured, we do not condone deceptive business practices. Unfortunately the delay caused by long distance communications, and a customer coming to the store who was interested in the same car overlapped, and the sale was made to another client. It is understandable that you are upset at the circumstances. We offer our apologies.
