If I’m being honest, in regards to a review of the dealership, I have had multiple issues. Enough so that I no longer used their services unless I was out of options. Most of them dealing with the sta dealership, I have had multiple issues. Enough so that I no longer used their services unless I was out of options. Most of them dealing with the staff and the inconsistency of truth and dependency; however I found myself needing service & had to go there & service rep Roger just may have restored some hope! He didn’t make excuses for the past bad experiences but listened to my reasons of hesitation and provided a different service and the vibe to want to make things right and change my outlook on SLO BMW. I went to the dealer to fix a tailgate issue and was given an estimate of $500 to diagnose and then fix it if possible. I told Mr. Simpers I didn't want anything else done; no oil changes, adjustments, given an estimate of $500 to diagnose and then fix it if possible. I told Mr. Simpers I didn't want anything else done; no oil changes, adjustments, inspections, etc., just fix that one problem. I asked what if you find the problem quickly and it is s a simple fix? He said not to worry the $500 would not apply if the repair was less. The description of the labor change on my bill, which magically came to $499.99, stated the problem, a diagnostic check was done that showed an electrical error, and the technician found a broken wire that was easily accessed and quickly repaired. By any measure, generously granting one hour of diagnosis and one-half hour to solder and put a sleeve is reasonable, or two hours max. There is no way this should cost $500! More
