Update 12/08: This dealership sold me a car without an airbag. This was confirmed by an authorized Toyota Dealership. ⭐ HONEST REVIEW – PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING The salesman, MIKE, asked me and my airbag. This was confirmed by an authorized Toyota Dealership. ⭐ HONEST REVIEW – PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING The salesman, MIKE, asked me and my fiancé (who was not the buyer) to leave a 5-star review before I even drove the car off the lot. This explains why there are so many 5-star reviews. Do NOT leave a review until the dealership has fulfilled their promises. El vendedor me pidió una reseña de 5 estrellas antes de que yo me llevara el carro. NO LO HAGAS hasta que cumplan con su parte del trato. ⸻ My experience with BM Motor Cars (Mike Gil & David – Service Director) Friday 10/31 – Initial Visit I went to see a vehicle and immediately noticed: • Tire pressure warning light ON • Strange noises (I suspected alignment issues) I told the salesman Mike Gil, and he told me the issues would be fixed before pickup. ⸻ Saturday 11/01 – Pickup Day When I arrived, the issues were NOT fixed. Mike then told me the service department was closed on weekends and that I needed to make an appointment with David, the Service Director. ⸻ Wednesday 11/05 – First Service Visit Before meeting with David, I took the car to a private mechanic. Their diagnostic showed multiple issues. On my way to the dealership, the car began shaking above 30 MPH. I showed David the mechanic’s diagnostic. He briefly looked at it and told me he would take care of everything listed. ⸻ Thursday 11/06 – After First Repair I picked up the car and: • The TPMS light was still on • David told me to “drive it 30 minutes” for the light to go away and it did not go away • The shaking issue was still present. ⸻ 11/21 – Picking Up Plates I told David the problems were still happening. He told me to come back Monday 11/24 at 10 AM. ⸻ 11/24 – Second Visit I arrived at 10 AM, but David was not there. He called me instead and told me to drive the car to a mechanic 13 minutes away. At the mechanic he sent me to: • They fixed the TPMS light • They discovered the inner tie rod was damaged, the steering rack boot was detached, and told me the vehicle was unsafe to drive in that condition • They also told me they could NOT make that repair there Because of the safety concern, I drove carefully to another mechanic who could fix the issue. I texted David to let him know the car needed to stay at that mechanic. He said he would get back to me once he reached his office. I also messaged Mike Gil asking for a supervisor’s email, and I was left on read. ⸻ 11/26 I have not received any response from anyone. My car is still at the mechanic, and I am paying out of pocket over $1,000 for repairs that should have been addressed before the vehicle was sold. ⸻ Conclusion Based on my experience: • Promised repairs were not completed • Communication after the sale was poor • The car had serious safety issues that were not properly inspected • I was left without support once I reported problems Please be cautious and make sure all promised repairs are fully completed before finalizing a purchase. ⭐️ 1 Star – BEWARE of BM Motorcars – Classic Bait-and-Switch Tactics If you're considering buying a vehicle from BM Motorcars in Linden, NJ, we strongly urge you to think twice. We were seriou Bait-and-Switch Tactics If you're considering buying a vehicle from BM Motorcars in Linden, NJ, we strongly urge you to think twice. We were serious buyers — willing to pay their full asking price, travel 250+ miles, and had our financing lined up. But this dealership took advantage of our trust and wasted our time and money. We asked repeatedly — eight times — to speak with a manager, finance officer, or someone in authority. Every request was ignored. Their salesperson, Anton, convinced us to apply for dealer financing by claiming that Wells Fargo would beat our credit union's 6.29% interest rate. He later told us we were approved at 5.9% — so we booked flights, got a certified check, arranged insurance, and prepared to drive home in our new truck. Only after it was too late to make other arrangements did Anton finally send the paperwork — with a 7.1% interest rate. When questioned, he flat-out denied ever quoting 5.9%, despite having said so clearly. This was a classic bait-and-switch. They delayed sending us the paperwork until the last possible moment, knowing we were committed — flights, check, insurance, time off work — so we’d have no way to back out or arrange alternative financing. They also padded the deal with over $1,200 in fees, on top of the inflated interest rate, which they profit from directly. BM Motorcars fits every stereotype of a shady used car dealer: evasive, manipulative, and dishonest. They knew exactly what they were doing — and they hoped we wouldn't catch on until it was too late. We can’t warn people strongly enough: AVOID BM Motorcars. More

BUYERS BEWARE. Mike was great to work with. Communication was great UNTIL the sale was completed I went up after several calls and texts, almost 2 hours away, and Mike was great to work with. Communication was great UNTIL the sale was completed I went up after several calls and texts, almost 2 hours away, and he was very professional until sale was completed. Even though I was buying a car, as is, There were a few things they promised to take care of and do before delivery of the vehicle. One was fill the tank up. Two was repair the brakes. Three was attempt to recharge the AC. They did not do anything with the brakes the brakes are identical as when I test drove the vehicle and they knew there was a problem. The vehicle was supposed to have a full tank of gas it arrived with under a quarter of a tank so cost over $100 to fill up. When i texted the sales rep he texted back "my fault, i was supposed to tell you couldn't for transport" But they knew they were transporting when the agreed THREE times. The AC, they claimed they tried to recharge it. LIES. i recharged it myself and it works. Imagine if they just did what they promised. The delivery guy was wonderful and dealing with them in the beginning was good. They're on hold music should make people question the company. It has wrong information on their address, their showroom, and their inventory and their service Bays. Apparently it was an old location with somebody else now they are in a an area that is not enclosed and very misleading. I would think twice. IT doesn't matter what they put in written, they lie. These people sold me a Volkswagen that had had its trash control systems removed, and the exhaust system straight piped. I realize this the day after I bought the car and had a check engine light on first t control systems removed, and the exhaust system straight piped. I realize this the day after I bought the car and had a check engine light on first thing in the morning and took it to my mechanic. They sent a lot person to come and take the car, and I took an Uber 90 minutes back to the dealership to pick up my trade and a check for my deposit. That was two months ago and they still haven’t returned the money to Wells Fargo and now I am in collections and they won’t take my phone calls. They do not have their own service center. They do not have a state-of-the-art showroom, only a hole in the wall with weak motivational posters from the 1980s on the walls. BM should stand for big mistake and you would do well to stay away from them unless you were desperate or looking to get taken advantage of. More
They are a little unorthodox in their operations , but Tony was super helpful, very responsive and very diligent in getting me a good deal. Still very happy with my purchase a month later. Looks like I am not alone. ...wish I had come here before I bought my car. EASIEST DEAL EVER for them. All Cash, no discussion except to ask for titling and registration. T ...wish I had come here before I bought my car. EASIEST DEAL EVER for them. All Cash, no discussion except to ask for titling and registration. Title came day before the temporary expired but NO REGISTRATION. Turns out they never told me the taxes were not paid. How STUPID can a salesperson be when they r handed a deal. NO negotiation, just tell me how much. Then 3 weeks later when I get the title and call, the "GENERAL MANAGER" tells me he "thinks I am rude" and HANGS UP. I have been a salesperson most of my adult life in many fields. NEVER have I hung up on a customer. HOPE the owner reads this. Trust me....DO NOT COME HERE. I could not have been an easier or nicer client until a real issue came up which could easily have been dealt with at purchase. SHAME ON YOU for not disclosing, VERBALLY, that taxes were not paid and hence no registration came. Teach your salespeople better.... More
