I had read about Avondale Toyota on the web when researching the Ford Edge on Auto trader.com, and wanted to experience their one person service experience for myself. I had phoned ahead of time, an inquired about the 2012 Ford Edge for sale. When my wife and I arrived, we were greeted by John Byers, who had the vehicle ready for us to inspect and test drive. He was courteous, professional, and patient as he explained the various features for the Ford Edge, and also was very informative during the test drive. During the test drive, he explained the one price one person philosophy that Avondale Toyota espouses, and he demonstrated it at every turn. I felt that the price posted was very competitive against other Ford Edge's I researched on Auto Trader. Avondale was also very fair in the price offered for my trade in. There was no pressure or hard sell to buy, and no additional add on's that other dealers try to up sell. John also went over extended service plans with us, and again, no pressure to purchase same.Your dealer documentation fee was also the lowest I had found researching on the web, not others that quoted 399 up to 499.00 I especially liked your open showroom, and not some tight closed office found at other dealers. And as stated, John handled the transaction from beginning to end. It truly was the best card buying experience my wife and I ever experienced. Following up on Michael Wood letter I came in to see what would be offered by him for our 2010 Corolla S. I had only 33,000 miles on it and it was always maintained as per maintanence schedule. Michael gave me an offer that was more than I expected and instead of buying another Corolla I purchased a new Camry. Michael was pleasant and extremely helpful in finding just the right car for my wife and me and the wait was no way as long as doing business at other dealerships. We found that we had similiar experiences in the military and his attitude was a CAN DO and he was able to DO it for us. I would recommend Michael to my friends and associates because he made us feel comfortable being at this dealership with no stress associated with buying a car. Went in for service on old vehicle need much work and worked with Terry Pickle on new vehicle. He was able to get me what I wanted for my trade in. I as out of the dealership in about 2 hrs. My husband and I went in strongly feeling we would be purchasing either a Toyota or Ford Hybrid, after working with Elgin it was a no brainer! The second we walked onto the lot we were greeted and offere purchasing either a Toyota or Ford Hybrid, after working with Elgin it was a no brainer! The second we walked onto the lot we were greeted and offered helped, but they were happy to let us "just look" which is what we did 3 times in total before finding exactly what we wanted. Other dealerships either ignored us(Ford the first time we went), were overbearing with daily follow-up phone calls even when asked to stop(Ford after we test drove) or said they were unable to test drive what we wanted(Chevy). Elgin was awesome and we found the Camry Hybrid to have the power and style we liked combined more than any other car we had test driven and we test drove allot of cars. My husband especially loved how fast it would go so quickly, stating that it was quicker than the Ford non hybrid Fusion we had test drove (they were out of their Fusion Hybrid. It was more comfortable with an interior we thought better to look. We loved the mixed leather heated seats, the easy to use Touch screen and steering wheel accessories, and the gas to mileage counter. I enjoy seeing how many mpg I am using with each trip! Elgin stuck with us the entire time, calling to check in both pre and post purchase. I still text to ask questions and he responds quick and friendly haha. I honestly recommend Elgin and Toyota Avondale to anyone purchasing a car. More
