My husband and I went in strongly feeling we would be purchasing either a Toyota or Ford Hybrid, after working with Elgin it was a no brainer! The second we walked onto the lot we were greeted and offere purchasing either a Toyota or Ford Hybrid, after working with Elgin it was a no brainer! The second we walked onto the lot we were greeted and offered helped, but they were happy to let us "just look" which is what we did 3 times in total before finding exactly what we wanted. Other dealerships either ignored us(Ford the first time we went), were overbearing with daily follow-up phone calls even when asked to stop(Ford after we test drove) or said they were unable to test drive what we wanted(Chevy). Elgin was awesome and we found the Camry Hybrid to have the power and style we liked combined more than any other car we had test driven and we test drove allot of cars. My husband especially loved how fast it would go so quickly, stating that it was quicker than the Ford non hybrid Fusion we had test drove (they were out of their Fusion Hybrid. It was more comfortable with an interior we thought better to look. We loved the mixed leather heated seats, the easy to use Touch screen and steering wheel accessories, and the gas to mileage counter. I enjoy seeing how many mpg I am using with each trip! Elgin stuck with us the entire time, calling to check in both pre and post purchase. I still text to ask questions and he responds quick and friendly haha. I honestly recommend Elgin and Toyota Avondale to anyone purchasing a car. More
This is what I just posted on my Facebook page: If you are looking for a new or used car in the future, keep this name in mind: David Lovelady. He's at Avondale Toyota and he is the kind of salesman you are looking for a new or used car in the future, keep this name in mind: David Lovelady. He's at Avondale Toyota and he is the kind of salesman we all say we want: informative, personable, and not pushy. It was a pleasure dealing with him and buying a car through him. A+ More

This was one of my best experiences car shopping. No run-around or "let me check with my manager" delays. No sending you from one finance guy to another. Very knowledgeable, pleasant and a pleasure to work with. Went in to look at some vehicles, was driving a 2008 lifted FJ Cruiser (bad xxx). My wife fell in love with a 2011 Tundra and we decided to trade in the FJ for it. The price they gave me for the FJ was lifted FJ Cruiser (bad xxx). My wife fell in love with a 2011 Tundra and we decided to trade in the FJ for it. The price they gave me for the FJ was fair and I believe the deal was alright overall, however the issue I have with this dealer is that when buying the Tundra I told the salesman that I wanted the wheels balanced correctly because the steering wheel was all over the place when driving it, he supposedly made a note "We Owe" that service would call me asap since it is a critical issue. Its been almost 2 weeks and I am still waiting to hear back from them to schedule. I am not going to call them because I want to see how long this will take. So far I am pissed. This dealer I feel makes promises and fails to execute them. I will be contacting Brian Mc Cafferty which is the owner to complain. More
I purchased a 2007 Toyota Tacoma in Aug 2012. The truck did not come with a spear key. A little after I purchased the truck, I asked the Sales Manager, Kevin Green, to see if he can make a spear key at no did not come with a spear key. A little after I purchased the truck, I asked the Sales Manager, Kevin Green, to see if he can make a spear key at no additional cost. His response, " I can contact the previous owner." Kevin attempted to contact the previous owner, but after 3-4wks I have not heard anything. When I called Kevin, he advise he talked to the previous owner, but that person was unable locate the key. I asked Kevin if Toyota can just make a spear key. His responds, " I cannot just make a key. If I do then I would charge you." At this point I felt Kevin was more concern about charging me for a spear then providing the customer service. It is not my fault the dealership failed to get the spear key from the previous owner. It funny after purchasing a $20k truck where the customer service was good. I did not think that a SMALL, and I mean SMALL, thing can be such a hassle. I hope someone reads this and can understand why I am upset with the customer service after purchasing a vehicle. Remember, all I asked for a for a spear at no additional cost and all I got was a "NO!" More
