Phenomenal experience - Frankie was a pro in terms of online sales - blowing away the experiences I had with other Acura dealers. He was very responsive, professional and easy to deal with. We leased a 2014 Acura MDX. Dealership was not able to honor the deal made at the time of our agreement due to some systemic issues, they worked for a week on the issue and were able to resolve it while honor the deal made at the time of our agreement due to some systemic issues, they worked for a week on the issue and were able to resolve it while keeping us in loop at all times ( we did have to initiate and show our interest toTo continue first). It's been over a week, my wife is enjoying every bit of the MDX experience. Dealership was also very friendly with staff, good selection of cars and SUV's. although we had to wait with whole family in their dealership couple of hours multiple times, no one complained I. The family as there is WIFI, TV, snaks and comfortable seating in the waiting area. We really enjoyed our overall experience with the dealership and looking forward to continued relationship for our service and next vehicle needs. I highly recommend checking out Acura of Denville before making your decision on the purchase, especially if you have a trade-in as they they did score AAA+ rating from us and others who were in making their deal at that time. The selling proposition for this deal was definitely the condition of the vehicle, 2011 Acura MDX with 23xxx miles. Over and above that Eric and Cody have made me and my wife's car buying experience a speci condition of the vehicle, 2011 Acura MDX with 23xxx miles. Over and above that Eric and Cody have made me and my wife's car buying experience a special one. We were honest with our budget and so he was about his markup. Eric gave special effort to help us in arriving at a mutually agreeable price. Cody was at her effervescent best. She was patient in taking me for test drive for one 2008 model, 2011 model and then 2014 model. She has chosen a path where I could check the suspension, brake, uphill, downhill driving experience with the car. After returning to the dealership, we discussed and my wife wanted a test drive the 2011 model. Cody helped her to understand the vehicle while driving it. We have visited the dealership in couple of days to compare the driving experience of 2011 and 2014 model as I was not fully convinced. It was a day off for Cody. We were surprised to see her in the dealership. She took my wife for a test drive of the 2011 and 2014 model. And then, I have driven the 2011 model again. This time we were convinced. Mike explained us the pros and cons of finance and also the advantage of taking the extended warranty. The day we bought, he has explained the documentation and answered all our queries. Finally at the time of the delivery Cody and another person helped us in setting the Bluetooth with our phone. Eric took care of the small scratches and done the buffing free of cost. Additionally even though the car has passed the certified car inspection, he surprised us by changing the tires with almost new Michelin tires on the day of the delivery. We are extremely satisfied with the dealership and will recommend it to everyone if they are convinced with Acura vehicles. More
My husband and I went in for a trade in. Everything went pretty smooth the salesman Peter was cordial along with Michael they reassured us we were to a great trade and getting a "good" vehicle. After the test drive we were pretty much pleased so we began signing papers. We asked for the carfax and the vehicle had been hit. Nothing major was what they told us. Even though i started doubting the transaction i trusted this was the right purchase. Once they gave us the vehicle we heard a noise. My husband let the sales guy know and he said it could just be due to the car being parked and the cold weather. My husband and I weren't to happy but we trusted them and said to give them 2 days and if we had any issues to bring the car back. The next day the noise grew a bit louder so i called first thing in the morning and left Peter a voicemail. No one ever returned my call. This was exactly the next day after the purchase. My husband and I gave it another day, and went back Wednesday and asked for Peter who wasn't there and scheduled an appointment for the car to be serviced. I then received an email to rate the dealership and their customer service from Michael Fazio. The noise grew louder and now it wasn't just when the car was parked it was doing it the whole time i drove the car. It was very disappointing to know that i just purchased a car that i was already having issues with and no one had the decency to return my call!! My husband went back in on Friday (this is 3 days after the purchase), and spoke with Eric who said it was just the "belt" nothing big to worry about. He took our car into the garage and sprayed something on the belt, the noise stopped for about 5 min when we drove off it began again. Of course we had heard this for the third time, so if it wasn't that "big" the correct thing to do was to fix the problem in order to have a content customer. Well it didn't pan out that way, the weekend passed and my husband and I decided we no longer wanted the vehicle we were very disappointed in the way we were treated. Sunday i emailed Michael Fazio and also no response. It seems once a sale is done the customer no longer matters. Regardless of all the back and forth I was told i couldn't return the car in exchange for another one. Although the so called "belt" was fixed I just feel insecure and unsafe about the car. Now were stuck with a car for the next few years and there's nothing they can do about it. If someone comes across my post please be careful when searching for a car especially here. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE!!! AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!! I can save you the headache. I will be sure to spread the word. More
After being contacted by the VP of the dealership, I decided to go back to this dealership and see if my initial experience (being ignored) was just a fluke. I can say it was. Frankie (one of the sales professionals) was very helpful and worked hard to accommodate my desire to purchase a 2014 TL. There was no pressure at all and Frankie took the time to answer all my questions and provide options that were actually cheaper than what I was looking for. I came ready to buy a car that night, but alas their used car guy (in my opinion) was significantly undervaluing my trade. Although I did not buy, the overall experience was good. Just make sure you know the value of your car before negotiating! May consider purchasing from them in the future. More
