I went to this seller twice. The first time I was only spoken to by the dealership staff next door. This initially wasn't off putting as I spoke Spanish. Marilyn did not want to sell a car that day unless I was financing it with the dealership. Everytime I spoke to her about any other options her eyes glazed over and she proceeded to tell me she could run my credit for possible financing options. After leaving the first time I received a call from Autos Direct asking if I was interested. Gary was seemingly helpful and even got me a deal on the price. There were other possible buyers so he prompted me to give them my card information to hold the car. I agreed and scheduled to pick up the car the next day. I called them before heading an hour away to pick up the car to confirm it was still available. I called them at the bank 15 min before I got to the dealership to confirm the name for the check. It wasn't until I got in the dealership that Gary informed me that the car had already been sold 30 minutes before. Again this was after confirming multiple times and literal minutes before pulling up to the dealership that the car was still available, with a check written to Autos Direct AND gave them my card information to hold the car. I understand selling it to another buyer but to never say anything after constant communication is over the line. After my dad called and cussed them out a manager reached out saying I could get 1k off any car in the lot. While this was a nice try it doesn't erase the scummy and honestly cruel business practices. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone especially not Gary or Merylin. Autos Direct absolutely had the right car at the right price, and Alys couldn't have been more pleasant and professional getting it in my garage. For my 65th birthday I wanted to treat myself to a Mustang price, and Alys couldn't have been more pleasant and professional getting it in my garage. For my 65th birthday I wanted to treat myself to a Mustang Convertible. While the Coastal Edition was at the top of my list I literally didn't think it was realistic that I'd find one, especially in Brittany Blue. Autos Direct did though, and with only 9500 miles! I had been shopping around for months so I knew there price was more than fair, but they were still able to improve on it a bit. I had my friend truck it up on one of his east coast runs, and they had no issue keeping it safe for a couple of weeks. Since I didn't visit the dealership, Alys answered all of my questions and sent me a treasure trove of detailed pictures. Of course they provided access to a free CarFax report. The trucking company told me they were polite and cooperative and that he would certainly consider buying a vehicle there. Some folks have griped about the "processing fee", and I'll admit it didn't thrill me either. But I probably encountered at least a half dozen dealers with processing fees of $1000 or more. I know from my extensive shopping that the Autos Direct price was as much as $4K below comparable vehicles, so an $1800 processing fee still made the car a great deal...or I would've never bought it! My personal experience with Autos Direct and especially Alys Acuna was quite positive, all the more impressive when you consider the purchase was made in absentia. They certainly did right by me so I'll give them two thumbs up! More
