Autonation Volkswagen Carlsbad - Service Center

This review is only about the service center, not the overall dealership, since I have limited experience with other areas of the dealership. While the service advisor seem to be doing his best, the overall dealership, since I have limited experience with other areas of the dealership. While the service advisor seem to be doing his best, the service center was understaffed, or the staff that was there was sitting around, not paying attention to customers (one girl was sitting there doing something on her cell phone that didn’t look like work). Despite having an appointment, I was left standing outside for 20 minutes, waiting for someone to come and check my car in. I had gone inside within a few minutes of arriving and was told someone would be outside to help me shortly. I waited about 10 minutes before someone came out, looked at me, told me someone would help me soon, and then walked away. After another 10 minutes, my husband went inside and then finally someone helped him. The pick up was a little smoother, but there was one employee In the service center to handle everybody waiting. I’m used to much higher levels of service at other (non-VW) dealerships so unless alternate VW dealerships are prohibitively far away, I will look for a different VW service center for future service needs. More

Dropped my car off for service and it was quite possibly the easiest repair I've ever done. They even found an issue with my door that I didn't know about it and fixed it! I requested an appointment to get routine maintenance on my VW lease because I drove it across the Country! And when I got there the tech, Will got me in early as well as listened to all of my claims. It t my VW lease because I drove it across the Country! And when I got there the tech, Will got me in early as well as listened to all of my claims. It took a little longer so I checked on it and Will said that besides providing life preserving oil to the engine of the car they also updated the computer, changed the battery in the key AND replaced the cabin air filter! All provided because it was taking a little more time. More

Will the service manager took care of me and kept me updated every step of the repair process. The staff was extremely nice and I got my car back with no issues which is a first considering another loca updated every step of the repair process.
