I have nothing but huge accolades to give to the Bob Barker VW Carlsbad service department. I had taken my 2018 VW bug in for a recall item (very minor) and to fix my cd player. Several unavoidable minor hiccups occurred during the brief time they had my car. I am hear to say Norman (he came in to play when poor Bobby had an unexpected family emergency) did everything he could do to make my experience the most inconvenient as possible. I was offered a loaner car while they waited for parts to come in. I would highly recommend Bob Bakers VW service department to anyone. I will gladly use them again. Kudos to the team...!! More

2019 Ascent parasitic (battery killing) current drain **NOT** solved after 2 days. New battery is now slowly dying. Julian Perez insisted everything was “normal”. Bobby Reynolds is your best service advisor. He is on-the-spot, possesses a great attitude, and understands the particular wants and needs of his clients. More than anything, I trust his judgment and his willingness to fulfill any special requests from the client. For example, I'm a knowledgeable VW owner who runs higher than typical tire pressures for better handling and better mileage. I also run non-toxic propylene glycol (green) coolant in the engine cooling system. Bobby knows this and specially instructs the service technicians not to add incompatible ethylene glycol (pink) coolant -- and to leave the tire inflations as they are when my vehicle arrives for any service. This is why I always request Bobby rather than another service writer who may wrongly assume this client doesn't know what is appropriate for the vehicle. When Bobby returned to work at Bob Baker after a lengthy sabbatical I rejoiced that I need not stress over the prospect of under-inflated tires and a ruined engine cooling system. I purchased my Jetta there at Bob Baker, and I will continue to bring it in for lube oil changes and Direct Shift Gearbox services. Thank you for bringing Bobby back.
