My wife and I had to deal with Service writer: 184, Erik Lopez, a rude customer service representative, who not only belittled my wife, used a patronizing tone and attitude when asked simple questions, but Lopez, a rude customer service representative, who not only belittled my wife, used a patronizing tone and attitude when asked simple questions, but was also impatient. This was our first experience with Subaru’s maintenance services and the lack of basic customer service skills of this person who had an attitude when asked for anything, made us feel like we had made a mistake buying a Subaru. We had Honda automobiles before and in 20 years, we never had one bad customer service experience. Service writer: 184, Erik Lopez informed us that the 2 Years or 24,000 miles of Complimentary Maintenance we were promised when we bought the car, was not showing up in their system. We were concerned then that our final purchase contract with Subaru was somehow different from what was agreed on at the time of purchase. We chose to have our first scheduled oil change at Bob Baker’s Subaru Carlsbad because we had a great experience with them when buying our car. We drove 85 miles to get there (we live in Claremont, CA) and when we left, we felt regret and disappointment. Customer service representatives should always be professional, respectful and diplomatic. We are very shocked that this is the way you treat your customers. Your employees represent your company. We would have given them only one star, however they did honor our 2 Years or 24,000 miles of Complimentary Maintenance that was included in our contract. More

A new guy helped me (Rick?). He was one of the nicest and most informative staff I've met there. Great guy! I went into update the starling system for my 2018 Subaru outback. Unfortunately the update took all day. While updating my car they discovered my battery, once again, did not pass. This is my third replacement and fourth battery in my Subaru. I only have 10,000 miles on the car.I feel fortunate that they caught this problem, it’s unfortunate that the Subaru does not have a good electrical system where the battery can sustain it. More
