Oh it is with a deep sigh I say I completely agree with these other postings. These people are terrible. Grade A gerks and seriously lacking knowledge of the products they sell. They sold me a car with these other postings. These people are terrible. Grade A gerks and seriously lacking knowledge of the products they sell. They sold me a car with a defective door and are yet to get it right, charged me $500 for a security system that is already built into the car (I am now a proud owner of 2) and told me it is not possible, I repeat NOT possible to get nav as a feature on my 2010 jetta tdi. It is only offered as an aftermarket option but still covered under warrenty. We little did I know that is a complete lie and in putting in an aftermarket system I will cease the ability to use my voice activated bluetooth, nice. The have been terrible when I have called and I cannot say enough bad things about them. In fact at this point I cannot believe I sold my lexus with AMAZING customer service to spend all my time dealing with jackasses. PLEASE stay far far away!!!!!!!!! More
Why? Why? Why? We knew what the experience would be like but due to convenience we went to service our passat anyway. Painful...refer to your owner's manual that should fix the problem. We even put a like but due to convenience we went to service our passat anyway. Painful...refer to your owner's manual that should fix the problem. We even put a post it on the page in your owner's manual. I am not a moron! We've tried that 30 freaking times since you repaired it the first time and it hasn't worked since. Either we're doing something wrong or our imagination is pessimistic. These people never NEVER get it right. All they do is tell you everything you need besides the issue you to take it in for. It hurts. All I can do is say pray for all of these people who's energy is just twisted. A fish rots from the head first and I'm sure the service manager whoever he or she is is a useless service provider. Thank God his or her family loves them because this customer hates going there and NEVER will again. Steer clear of Bob Baker VW in Carlsbad for both sales and service. I've purchased 4 cars over 8 years and am done. No longer going there out of convenience I will drive to Miramar. By the way I live in their town. So what...Mira Mesa here I come! More
After a month of trying to get the right car and the right numbers together, I brought the agreed upon 5 grand cash plus the trade in (worth another 3 grand) on Deal Day. They tell me the rate has gone right numbers together, I brought the agreed upon 5 grand cash plus the trade in (worth another 3 grand) on Deal Day. They tell me the rate has gone up on the loan, and for an extra 1500 it will put the payments back in the range we had discussed as my comfort zone. I said I could come up with another 1000 on such short notice, but not another 1500 (hell I was already putting down 8000) so they said if I gave another grand they would pull 500 of the price of the car (which they were overcharging me for anyways by about 3grand, usually I haggle but I'm alone w/ no family juggling a newborn and a four year old while hubby is in Afghanistan, so I pick my battles) I was told the payments would be one amount...but there was a glitch in having the signed papers back in time (the papers had to be FedExed to hubby overseas) so they gave me "dummy papers" to sign so they could take my money and I could take the car. On the "dummy papers" was a payment higher than what was agreed to. I asked my sales guy and Finance guy why and he said NOT TO WORRY, that whatever numbers where on those papers were from the old rate before I plopped down the extra money, and that the papers he sent hubby had the numbers we discussed. After I've had the car for a week I get the finished paperwork back and lo and behold it has the higher payment! I immediately drive to the dealership and try to figure out what happened...in the end they never took that last measly 500 off of the car price, just told me they would and didn't, and when I confronted the sales and finance guy that lied to me they said No, whatever I had signed on the dummy papers was what they sent to hubby (which of course isn't what they said they day I was signing the dummy papers) and then went on to bully me with much attitude saying that if I had a problem w/ the difference in payment then I can just give the car back, they can just re-sell it if I have a problem (after I've had it for a week and they've already got my trade in and money) So basically I plopped down extra money for no reason, got ripped off in price anyways and then lied to on top of it. I also noticed they never sent me a Customer Satisfaction survey or anything afterwards...WORST car buying experience EVER and this is car #8 for me. More
This service department is horrible. They have cost me over $600 in the past month and my 2000 Passat is still not fixed. As of today, my car is still there. The service manager, Rick Nelson was extreme over $600 in the past month and my 2000 Passat is still not fixed. As of today, my car is still there. The service manager, Rick Nelson was extremely rude when I had a few simple questions as to why my car is still sitting in the parking lot untouched and unfixed. If I could, I would rate this dealership at a "0". Do not get a car or take your car for service to this dealership AT ANY COST! More
I called this dealer up as they were the only dealer in SoCal with the car I wanted (a Jazz Blue 20th Anniversary GTI). I live over 2 hours away so I called up and made sure to set up everything over the p SoCal with the car I wanted (a Jazz Blue 20th Anniversary GTI). I live over 2 hours away so I called up and made sure to set up everything over the phone. I told them what I wanted for my trade and they agreed. I told them what I wanted my payments to be and they agreed. I drove 2.5 hours down there after work to get the car only to find that they were into playing games. They tried to charge me a markup, they changed the finance rate on the lease, they screwed with the value of my trade in, and they rushed the entire process. They didn't even detail the car. Had I been able to find the car anywhere else I would have walked out. I ended up having to put more money down than i intended, and still ended up with a higher payment, but I got the car. I absolutley loathed that experience and highly recommend people stay away. More
