I had a great experience car shopping at the Carlsbad location along Paseo Del Norte. There are many dealerships to choose from and I had a few ideas of what I was looking for. After running into a few 'not-so-pleasant' lots with sales people that seemed more interested in the sales that my satisfaction, I came to Bob Baker. I ended up buying because Bill Toolen went out of his way to find a car that he thought would be right for me. There was actually nothing on the lot that interested me at the time of my visit, but received a call from Mr. Toolen when something arrived. I have since recommended Bob Baker VW to several people, with some having purchased, and would continue to recommend. Overall, the shopping experience is pleasant and you can leave feeling like you paid a fair price for a quality vehicle. More

It was the complete opposite at Bob Baker. Mr. Toolen was friendly, professional and I actually had fun with him picking out my new Jetta TDI Sportwagen. At the time the car was difficult to get ahold of but Bill found the exact car I wanted and had it delivered that day. I didn't get talked into anything out of my price range or a lease I couldn't afford. It was just a straight transaction and they gave me the best price of several dealerships. I love my car and I am so happy I bought it at Bob Baker Carlsbad. I've had the scheduled free maintenance and they are always accommodating and running on time. I can't tell you how many people I have recommended to go see Bill Toolen and check out the TDI's. Just a great car and killer mileage too! Thanks! More

Best place to buy a car yet! I went over to Bob baker in Carlsbad and immediately Paul Coy came out and greeted me. I was just down at the Bob Baker Service Dept. to have my brakes replaced when I met Eddie D. who has been helping me out in the Sales Dept.
