Dishonest Found car we wanted and negotiated price. The salesman confirmed price we agreed to with owner. We put down a $300 deposit. The car had open recall fo Found car we wanted and negotiated price. The salesman confirmed price we agreed to with owner. We put down a $300 deposit. The car had open recall for takata airbag which he agreed to have replaced before we picked up car. We also took the car to independent mechanic at our own expense who found that the dealer incorrectly installed brakes which could have caused safety issue. We discussed this with salesman and he agreed to have it fixed. When we went to pick up car, paying with cash, the price of the car suddenly increased. We were told that the owner decided not to honor the price he originally agreed to. We were told that if we paid the extra $300 he would give us 45 day warranty. At this point it was very clear that the dealer could not be trusted. If they couldn't honor the agreed upon price what good is any warranty they are shoving down your throat? We left and will never return. More
