There was certainly no bait and switch here. It was nothing more than an innocent mistake in that the vehicle that this reviewer came to see was sold a couple of days before and not removed from our Website. When the reviewer called, the sales associate they spoke to checked the Website and seeing it still online, mistakenly told them the vehicle was still in stock. When we discovered the error, we offered to show him the 2 other Nissan Leaf's we had in stock and he agreed to take a look. We did not just pull up a completely different vehicle pretend we did not know which vehicle he was coming to see. Once we realized the error, we removed the sold vehicle from our Website so the same thing would not happen again. There was nothing "miraculous" about it! As far as us being unsympathetic, that is simply not the case. We apologized and showed him the 2 other similar vehicles we had in stock. I personally contacted him and apologized again, and even offered a $1000 discount should he decide to purchase either of the other 2 vehicles. I went on to tell him that I would also be happy to locate a more comparable vehicle should he want to go that route but he declined. We are far from perfect. We make mistakes just like everyone else but I feel confident we did everything in our power to show our genuine concern, and even find him another vehicle. I'm not sure how we could have handled the situation more professionally than we did, and regret that he chose to leave a negative review, rather than allow us to assist him further.
