Super Prices w/ easy-going service, ask for Max This was my first experience buying from a used car wholesaler. I quickly learned that you can't "bargain" the price with a wholesaler. But in our cas This was my first experience buying from a used car wholesaler. I quickly learned that you can't "bargain" the price with a wholesaler. But in our case, AA's selling price was ridiculously low!! We got a gorgeous "Soul Red" 2014 Mazda 3 i Grand Touring (the highest trim, w/backup cam, Blind spot Detector, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Leather seats, electric seat positioning, seat heaters, & 9-speaker Bose surround sound audio) with only 28K miles on it for $11,995! Max Orozco is THE salesperson to ask for (please tell him I sent you) - he was super-accommodating, knowing we had to travel 145 miles each way twice (no Mazdas here in upstate NY). He 1st gave us 48 hours to make up our minds while holding only a $1,000 deposit, then extended it to 5 full days while we got the car inspected (see below), and decided our financing and car insurance (he also has contacts for discounts at local insurance agents he can give you.) He actually gave us his personal cell phone number and said we could call him anytime, evenings, his days off, etc. even now, more than 3 weeks after the sale. The only thing that made me nervous was AA's insurance policy on their cars that a salesperson must be in the car when you test drive it. This meant that not only could I not drive it to my mechanic up here to inspect it, I couldn't even drive it to a local Mazda dealer to get their "certified inspection." This was an issue for me since AA was very honest about the car's history, including a free CARFAX report that showed the car had been in 2 accidents and was bought from auction. But Max came to the rescue again, putting me on to a nationwide outfit called "Lemon Squad," which sends an ASE certified mechanic to the dealer, who crawls under the car. He uses mirrors & multiple cameras to photo the undercarriage (I was amazed at the detail in the photos - just as good as having it up on a lift!), & throughly inspects all moving parts, even the paint job, and also test drives it. That plus the car still being way under the 60K mile warranty for drive train and frame gave me peace of mind.I still had my own mechanic inspect it after I brought it home, and he confirmed Lemon Squad's diagnosis, adding only that the car needed a new air filter & cabin filter. Max even put me on to a great Jamaican restaurant that I could walk to before driving the car home, and showed me the best way to get back on to the Garden State Pkwy.. Max treats you like family, and Automotive Avenues is thoroughly professional (they've only been selling to the general public for 5 years; before that they only sold to dealers). I'm now completely "sold" on the strategy of avoiding a new car & buying a 3 to 4-year old used car with low mileage - by then the car has already taken it's biggest depreciation hit & you can find one w/ the same safety features as new for ALOT less money.
